Anyone ever ran a wire thru your headliner?

Trying to install rear camera for the BlackVue dr750s. I've seen a few how to's on here but they all involve removing the oh shit handles and weather stripping on the doors.

Might anybody know of a way I could say...run it behind the dome light housing? Attach a magnet to it and try to run it thru by tracing it down the center of the head liner or use a wire coat hanger etc?

    Thanks in advance!

Best way is to run it through the floor of the interior. I think I posted info/pics on how I wired my rear cam in my build thread (link in signature)

I never ended up doing it but I was checking how to do an instinct my b8.5 and I was able to simply pull down the headliner on the edge the tiniest bit, could have easily fit a wire if it wasn't huge diameter. On my q7 I found an installer with a very reasonable price on install and left it to the pros. Good luck.

I 'sort' of went through the headliner. I ran it up the front a pillar and ran it along the side of the headliner, took out the 'oh sh!t' handles in the headliner to help me grab it and pull it all the way back. Fishing tape definitely helps. Once you get it to the back, I did what you did. Removed the rear dome light, and fished it out there there.

Wasn't too bad actually. Took about 30 mins.
