    Looking good boy.

Regarding spacers, I remember there was another prefacelift b5 a4 that ran Rcís and ran like a 10f 12r spacers.

Just search b5 a4 rc326 and itíll pop up.

    Edit:

It was ď.Mad Hatter.Ēís car, plenty of pics of it to be seen.

Haha, probably one of the youngest on this forum

Funny I know that car, it's virtually the same as mine! Got inspiration from that build. I'll contact him about spacer size. It's settled some this first week.

Making me jealous, my 1.8t needs low now.

I always thought that the convex of the rc 326 would look weird lowered, but now seeing yours it doesnít look to bad.

    Rub a dub dub

Yesterday I noticed some rubbing on the rear passenger side wheel. Only on tighter corners at decent speed. Normal driving no issues otherwise.

    235/45 tires might be why.

    Vanity Light Repair

Did some small stuff today, prepping car for a desert roadtrip tomorrow! No lower arms or alignment since the new suspension but fuck it

Fixed my stupid dome light, it was always missing the switch but it was stuck in "with door" mode so I left it alone. Well it died a couple days ago, turned out to be a loose/broken connection.

I had a grey plastic switch cover lying around which I grabbed out of the junkyard a long time ago, and superglued it to the selector fork thing which was just floating around in there. OEM it is melted into place but the glue after drying is holding fine! Also lubed the individual light switches since they were sticky.

Fixed, now with a functional switch!

    Door Water Leak

For a while my driver side rear door has been leaking in this spot, you can also see it a bit on the seat bottom. Got a good pic today.

    Car settled nicely!

Any rips on the door seals? Maybe recondition/rejuvenate them with silicone grease

Perhaps a drain blockage at the sunroof somewhere making water run down the door seals?

The seals appear to be ok? Not sure, its the door for sure though. I'll try the grease out.

Roadtrip for Parts and Euro Trunk Install

    Lots of updates! New goodies!

Drove up to LA and met a fellow member of the community and got a fwd Neuspeed RSB and s4 sides skirts + another junkyard euro trunk, but in sliver! Paint is in fantastic shape for its age. Got 330 miles out of a tank too, 27mpg avg.

Also installed the euro trunk today, looks SO much better! Paint needs a nice detail but it'll clean up super well. Some scratches, but hey its expected after 22 years. No dents though

The one weird thing is that there isn't a spot to mount the warning triangle bracket (but holes for it), the '96 liner also didn't have the cutout. I'll have to come up with a solution to this...

Looks good. S4 skirts are kind of tedious to install. I highly recommend rear brackets as well as S4 door moulding

Thanks man haha the last few things I need is a downpipe and JHM Solid Linkage + a few other interior odds and ends. That'll complete it nicely for a k03 car.

Otherwise I just have stuff laying around to install lol.

I have the JHM solid linkage. Itís great, makes shifting very solid. Itís hard to explain. But for 90$ that it cost me I could have gone without it. Itís literally 2 pieces of round stock notched, welded and drilled to size.

    S4 Needle Retrofit

Took OEM+ to a new level today with an S4 needle swap! Looks a lot better and sporty

For the analog clock needles, I just took a razor blade to them and the red came right off. Then used some plastic watch polish to clean it up.
    Before:

    After:

The longest part was the calibration for sure:

The finished product, love the OEM C5 cluster rings (whole front bezel swapped) and S4 stuff with the no screen cluster :P

And in case anyone was wondering how I achieved a no screen C5 ring front, I took a junkyard cluster and cut the overlay section out and with some modification it fits nicely in the C5's screen hole! No glue or anything, it's just held in with pressure.

I don't get why aftermarket rings even exist when there is a better looking OEM solution for next to nothing I've never actually seen anyone else use a C5 A6/Allroad front bezel on a B5 before.

The calibration is probably the worst part. But so worth the time spent.

Good to know that the c5 a6 front cluster works. I saw plenty last time at the pnp but was too busy pulling 2.7tt parts and mirrors.

Did the the two screws on the back of the cluster line up to the b5?

That was my biggest gripe on not getting it. There wasnít a b5 in the yard to check the fitment and it looked a little off.

Really updates your interior. Sometimes I just wish I had only one car, too expensive to do all three at the same time lol.

    Edit: added some praise

Yes, the C5 front bezel is completely identical. Its why on the B5 cluster it says "Audi C5" on it. Same exact thing.

Also @wangerang if you're in Cali I have an extra euro trunk if you want.

Mattó thank you for the offer. I live in Indiana. If I was closer I would totally take you up on that.

I love the bezels. Thereís a PNP near my girlfriendís down in Indianapolis. Might have to go looking some time. I donít know how you could get tired of all this red! Itís my favorite part.

Haha, its red at night though There's tons of C5's in yards near me.

Also if I were you I'd swap to 98-99 gauge faces, looks a LOT better than 96-97 style imo.

It's because the LEDs in the cluster are still red, so it shines through. The white in the needle is just the paint coating they put on the back.

    Neuspeed RSB

Installed a Neuspeed RSB today, total PITA but worth it. Germans over complicating things as usual

Really stiffens up the rear and reduces body roll a LOT. Once the lower control arms are in (vs leaked out originals) this thing will be a handling machine!

    Attached to the rear beam:

    Euro Trunk Warning Triangle Retrofit

Small update: got my warning triangle mounted in the euro trunk! Used my 99 liner since the 96 one doesn't even have the cutout

You use the original triangle holder + screws and it bolts right up. I got the European style inserts from the dealer, actually not a rip off price Part no 811-807-577-C for future reference.

Euro Trunk Polish and New Goodies

Got the euro trunk professionally detailed and it came out super well, almost The original paint cleaned up amazingly well but the badge adhesive reacted with something and damaged the paint. Never seen this before. Trunk still needs an adjustment also.

    The damage:

Overall i'm still happy with the result though, and I didn't have to paint it

Outside of the trunk I installed a mint facelift handbrake cover I found at the junkyard.

    Also have these to install
