Adding keys in the future is no problem with VCDS. You can pair keys (to the same car) as many times as you like. Get more keys and you go through the same process, just entering how many keys you have. Your instrument cluster even gives you a countdown in the odo display of which key you are on. I started with two keys on mine and progressed to five in three steps. Not an issue.
