Help - Very Rough Idle with EPS Light and Check Engine Flashing

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey Everyone! I was coming off the highway the other day and all of a sudden the car was running very rough with lights lite on the dash. I could smell raw fuel and it was obviously missing so I ordered all new Coil Packs plus installed new plugs - Nothing changed :(

Any thoughts before I limp it into a shop??

    Thanks!

Sorry forgot to mention it’s a 2014 A4 2.0T with about 35,000 miles. It does have an APR Stage 2 tune and I have been running E85 as it’s a flex fuel car. It was pretty low on fuel so I put about a half a tank of Premium in currently with no change prior to doing the above mentioned Coils and Plugs today.

I did notice the front cylinder plug being wet with fuel, assumed that was my bad coil so I have to believe that’s the cylinder not firing as all other plugs were dry and looked good.

You shouldn't drive it with a flashing CEL. Scan it with an OBD reader for codes

No, I don’t but I leaning towards an injector issue. I had it towed to the Dealer. It’s still under warranty but I am flagged TD1 so we will see what they say. I guess at the minimum they diagnose it for me!

Had same issue with my 2011 as I was on the freeway, it got super choppy and rough. The #2 injector took a crap. Dealer covered it and has been good since. They said there is an issue with heat and the injectors. Check it out mine was covered to 120k miles.
