They are supposed to last 5+ years. The pros are that it makes the car super easy to clean and maintain. There really aren't many cons other than after 3 years I think I might be getting bored of it. Good thing is that I can take it off and it would be like a brand new car again. Otherwise, every one I run into absolutely loves the wrap. The wrap was done well enough that 99% that see it think its painted that way.

II love this stuff. If you get it on ANYTHING (I kept the overspray off the leather and dash etc) like the rubber door surrounds, etc...just let it dry and it rubs/peels right off. Will get around to the ends of the doors at some point. Those will be super easy as the masking is simple due to clean lines.

Do you have link to exact Plasti Dip color used? I failed at searching for matte gray metallic on their site :/

Depends on film, if you do door jams, and overall installer. Anywhere from $2.5-$5k is what I've seen. Mine, with steel brushed film, no door jams, by a *good* (not top of the line) installer was $3k...which I think was a very good price.

Per, which wrap did you use and which installer? I've been quoted $9-$10K in the Seattle area for a full xpel Stealth wrap, which is why I haven't pulled the trigger to this point...

Xpel is a different story. I was talking about your general 3M/Avery 'let me change the color of my car' film wrap.
As I'm guessing you're aware, NW Auto Salon is likely the highest quality place to get any work like this done in the area, and correspondingly also the most expensive I've seen. I'm guessing that's where you got that quote from?
I went with D&A Customs near the airport for my 3M wrap and am very happy with the results.

Thanks. Yep, NW Auto Salon. I'd like to do an Xpel Stealth wrap at some point, but don't feel it's worth ~$10k.

I'm with ya'. I wanted to do that for my RS4 but never pulled the trigger. Even just hood, front fenders and mirrors was going to be about $5k.

Perfect. Thanks! I think it might match mine fairly well also.
