Interesting. My Bilsteins were maxed out in the rear. A few weeks after install mine settled to 26.5" and after a year they're at 26.375" and significantly tuck with any measurable weight in the back to the point that the car isn't drivable. Perhaps they finally changed/fixed the rear springs? Installing 30mm KW spring spacers then lowering the collars slightly for a net gain of 15mm and some room for future adjustment.

    Great #usingit shot!

To be honest, I’m unsure what the differentiation’s are between our setups. I had my winter wheels in the back (+200lbs?), and was good to go for Denver city and highway driving home from the shop.

It’s not a daily, so perhaps I haven’t driven it enough to notice? Regardless, there is room for me to go higher or lower should it be warranted

This is the only postable picture I have right now. It's with the car fully aired out.

Wheels: Vossen VFS-2 20x10.5 et 30 in Satin Bronze

    Tires: Michelin MPS4S in 275/30

    Suspension: Airlift 3P

Alignment: -2deg F/R, full caster (I believe +6) in front

I'll come back with more pictures and ride height specs.

Does anyone know if the 2008 S5 19'' rims will fit the b8.5 allroad? I can't seem to find photos allroads with them on but I wanted to ask as there's a really cheap set near me!

They will fit. Here is an example from a fellow allroad'er from Denver who had them on previously (looks good!):

What kind of tire pressure are those of you with larger wheels running? Need to start keeping track of it as the temperatures drop.

OEM for the RS5 is 44 front / 41 rear with 275/30-20 tires. I know the weight is a little bit different, but that seems really high. I have done 40 front / rear with 255/35-20 and seem to have pretty even wear across the tread.

By contrast, a Boxster is 33 front / rear with 235/35-20 and 265/35-20 tires which seems really low.

    Mine were down around 30...

I filled them to 41/40 f/r on 20x10.5 275/30. Feels like a different car haha. The steering is so much lighter and snappier.

My TPMS light came on, though. Says under inflated but that can't be. It must only have one phrase for high or low.

255 tires & -3º camber helps. Yes, I bought the IND-T's from him. I like the design a lot but have too many wheels taking up garage space.

I like them too. If I didn't already have a high spoke count wheel I'd be all over that sale. I want something different than my summer set when I eventually pick up a winter set

I'm tempted make the IND-T's my winter set if they don't sell and throw some summer tires on my winter peelers, but that doesn't help me reclaim any garage space.

I can help rid of your winter peelers to make them my winter peelers ;)

If you don’t get a bite on the IND-T’s I may be interested to make them a winter setup. Do they have tires on now? Would only want the wheels.. PM and we can chat

You will be all set, check out Allthea's AR, bagged running that set up. I think he is on 275/30 rubber. I run 20×10.5 et 25 on 255/35

Just realized that he runs et30 and not et33. My mistake.

Thanks! Do you think I should order 5mm spacers or should I be ok with et33? Also, any advantage of 255/35 over 275/30?

Your call on the spacers, it's a looks thing at that point really. The ARs really swallow aggressive offset and big wheels. I can tell you that 255/35 is my personal max on strech, I just like that look the best. I'm up in New England, so I wouldn't run a 30 tire, BUT pleanty of people do up here. Might be real tight with a 275/30 tire et33 with a 5mm spacer. Depends on your camber at that point.

I'm on 20x10.5 et30 running 275/30 tires. Took 2* camber to tuck (upgraded front control arms to the SPC adjustable ones).

The spacers will make it harder to tuck (5mm will push you out to ~et28) but probably able to counter if you stretch the tires or add more camber. I wanted a tire that was a closer match to wheel width. I sacrificed some sidewall (~0.25in) for the tire width instead.

The spacers will make it harder to tuck (5mm will push you out to ~et28) but probably able to counter if you stretch the tires or add more camber. I wanted a tire that was a closer match to wheel width. I sacrificed some sidewall (~0.25in) for the tire width instead.
You back on the stockers or did you make the move to a winter set?

still on my summers! been laid up sick the last few weeks (hit me the worst weekend of AZ fall cruise which is why i bailed). I need to get the stockers back on at the least to not ruin this good summer rubber. still trying to figure out the winter set. almost jumped on a set of 20" hartmann peeler reps on sale right now but still unsure about 20" vs 19" for winter. Tire price is ~$300 different for the 4 tires. It negates any savings I'd get going with the 20" reps. Or I guess I could look at it as I'm not paying any more than going with 19" S5 peelers...

    you get a winter set?

oh yeah - i had to drive home from work with my summers on at 11pm in the thick of that snow storm we got a couple weeks ago. that was white knuckling. changed lanes and the tail just kept going at one point but I (and the traction control) were able to save it.

    Nice!

And for a more relevant comment to this thread - I'm concerned about bringing the car just anywhere to swap wheels around. My aftermarket wheels on my Subaru got all dinged up around the lug holes from people doing a poor job changing the wheels over. Is there a way to do it to avoid the dings around the lug holes that I can attempt and / or suggest to a place I bring it? I don't need my one-season-used wheels getting all gashed up first time I go to change them...
