I used this site to figure out tire size. 255/40r19 is really close to stock size so the ride quality should be very similar. Slightly harsher because going from 18 to 19 obviously, but not very noticeable.

I will be moving to a 20x10.5 wheel in the near future. Trying to figure out tires. I'm thinking about going with a 275/30, 275/35, or a 285/30. Any suggestions or opinions out there? Going to be on air. Moderate drive height. I live in the NE so the roads are terrible, trying to keep a decent amount of sidewall.

I'm leaning toward MPSS tires; I liked them on my Subaru. In the threads I'm digging through people are claiming they run a little wider than others.

PSS are great tires, but they are meatier than others. PSS have been replaced by the PS4, which I'm hearing is also fantastic, but I haven't owned a set yet. I'd stick with a 35 sidewall if your roads are especially bad. I'm on 35's, but might swap down to 30's when I need new summer rubber. Roads aren't great around here, especially after winter, but I want to be able to tuck a little bit more than my 35's allow. I'll be back on my 20x10" summer wheels, et25 after 5mm spacers all around.

I went 20x10.5 et25 for summer with 255/35/20 PS4’s, thinking that spacers would push me out past the fender. Local shop hasn’t gotten their hands on my car due to wheel issues with the manufacturer, but now wonder if I should order spacers just in case!

You’ll be perfectly flush at those specs. Scroll up and take a look at my black allroad on CH-R’s to see what 20x10.5 et25 on 255/35/20 PSS looks like.

Between you and @killerbootsman that’s how I came up with the configuration.

As of yesterday, I’m also going with CH-R’s (titanium), which is a spoiler alert for the friends on this feed. Vossen screwed up my order/wouldn’t negotiate/gave ECS mis-aligned info; leaving enough of a salty taste to ensure I voice that others stay away from the brand.

I'm being told elsewhere that with 20x10.5 et30 the 285/30 is not going to work and that 275/35 is probably also too much, so I should stick with 275/30 to be safe.

The picture @BMC2U posted in the mega thread was 20x10.5 et35 on 275/35 and it looked fine, though. Will the extra +5 on the offset really make it not doable for me to run 275/35? It kinda looks like it from the picture.

I used the set up Allroad Outfitters recommended and installs on many Allroads. The 35s would probably be too much for bags. I’m on springs and I drive the piss out of this car. After a very light shave to the rear plastic fender lip, hasn’t rubbed at all.

My intended drive height will probably be the same as your drive height. You also look more flush than thought you would for +35.

So, it's seeming like the 275/30 might have to be the way I go.

Or I guess step down to 265/35 for the extra sidewall but a bit more stretch...

So I’m going to run 255/35 on my 20 x 10.5 mpss/4s on my CH-Rs (finally let the cat out of the bag), so if you wanna take a peak at that set up before you move on some times Alex just let me know.

I'm running 20X10 ET25 with 275/30s. I only rub when there is signifiant upsetting of the suspension during cornering, probably have rubbed less than a dozen times in two years.
That being said, I need new tires and 255s are significantly cheaper. I really don't care for the the stretch look and like a chunky sidewall, I can't seem to find any close up of the sidewalls with 255/35s on a 10" wheel, are they stretched or do they have a good sidewall still.

They will have a stretch to them. I'll see if I can get a better picture of them.

I've been searching for a couple of hours now with no luck, but someone had a set of A8 wheels on either a silver or white Allroad. Does anyone know who? A set popped up locally for a good price and I'm thinking about replacing my RS5 rotors (dad actually wants them for his RS5 as his wheels were trashed by the previous owner and he wants the keep the snow tires on the trashed wheels).

    These are the wheels:

I can photos of A8 wheels on standard B8 A4 Avants, but not an Allroad.
Typically with the A8 wheels being their marginal width (8.5" - 9") and high offset, they would swallowed by the flavored Allroad wheel well arches.
Typically spacers would be needed to get back to a stance that sit similar or more flush to the arch.

Yeah, they're 20x9 ET37, so 10-12mm spacer would be needed. I was happy with where the RS5 rotors sat without spacers.

I did finally find this picture, but its not the one I was thinking of (https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...ls-and-tires):

does anyone use any sort of special locking lugs? Or are the Audi OEM locking lugs well received?

I actually bought extra bolts to replace mine because I hate dealing with them when swapping summer/winter wheels. I also use spacers in winter which would negate the ability to use them.

Please don't steal my wheels. Haha.

Thanks guys! I still am wanting to set up a CO b8.5 allroad meet here soon and I will be putting a thread out soon: "Calling all B8.5 allroads". We have a ton of great ones in CO and good variety.

p.s. the titanium BBS looks amazing by the way!

they are near the top of the ST "spec", but there is a ton of thread left that could probably be used safely. I will likely be buying KW spacers when I go back to winters and bring it up a touch.

A couple questions....are the PSS10s maxed out, and are they new (or pre settled)

Nowhere near maxed out on either end of the spectrum, I could lift it or lower it from this position. They are pre-settled.
