Want to run 10mm spacers on my S5 Rotors but I知 wondering if its like on a B6/7 that you have to grind the hub of the car when going below 12mm with spacers?

Posting here as well for better input and reference for others:

Well, I ordered some new tires for the summer wheels (19x9 ET24).
I ordered 255/35R19 as that's what I have on the wheels now, but reading now more threads, I see that people run 255/40R19, but I cannot find a good pictures for comparison.
255/40R19 profile will increase the sidewall by 12.5mm (0.5") compared to 255/35R19 and 4mm over the typical Allroad spec (245/40R19). The taller sidewall may reduce the "dartiness" of the car on the summer setup.
I placed the order two days ago and it hasn't shipped yet, so maybe I could still switch it today if I can only decide....
TIA for any input and/or pics.

is this for an B8/B8.5 allroad? your stock profile for 18's would be 45/r18 ..... so for 19's you should be at 40/r19 , for a +1 fitment -- if you drop it all the way down to 35's with 19's you're going to throw off rotation/speedometer, etc.
for a "fatter" look with the 40/r19's, maybe look to 265 or 275 width ... or if you want to kep the "lean" look, 245/40/19 for a little stretch

Thanks. I switched my order to 255/40R19 in the end. The extra sidewall should be nicer. My first time trying Indy 500 tires! Can't wait.

cool -- I'm currently moved to 255/40/19's as well, once I picked up this set of A8 takeoff's -- came with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3's , which tend to be a little blocky/fat .... you should love the Indy500s, I ran those for a couple years on my MK6 GTI before 'i got the allroad

    current 19's with 255/40/r19's....

indy's on my MK6 K04 GTI ...they are a really good tire, almost to the level of Michelin PSS's in grip and wear, and a great buy for the $$$

Thanks! Love your Allroad and the color-matched flares look great.

Yes, the Indy 500s are a great deal for the raving reviews they get.
I could've saved $100 by going with the new Kumho Ecsta PS71, but have always wanted to try the Firehawks, so I got them.

Now, I'm doing some slow re-search for a suspension setup that is control-arm-friendly and only drops to Avant S-Line ride height.

Thank you I still have the wheels. I recently gave them a full wash and planning to sell, but I will likely keep and put them back on or maybe have them done in the same bronze color.

How have these wheels held up? Any issues so far? It looks like these are direct fit with the center bore...no centering rings needed, was that your experience?

Speaking a bit out of turn here as a B9 (2017) Allroad owner, but i figured this as good a soure as any to help get to the bottom of my tire conundrum. I recently came across the below winter wheel/tire set that i've gathered mix feedback on whether ok to run on the car. Outside of the speedometer being slightly off are there any obvious downsides to running these? Any insight or thoughts would be much appreciated. (Currently running stock 7.5x18 245/45/18) Thanks!

finally getting it all dialed in .... pulled off the smoked "hub/bolt-caps" and cleaned them off completely -- the stock silver & chrome insignia really make the center of the wheel stand out a bit more against the flat black , and I dig it

What tire size would you guy recommend to run on 20x9.5 et25. Needing to be a 35 sidewall for all seasons. Not sure if I should run 245/255/265?

255/35, some run this all the way to 10.5 (stretch), generally 265 puts you at a 30 aspect.

new here - bought audi 2014 allroad - not thrilled with the rims - was thinking of getting a set of the below - or these from ebay - https://www.ebay.com/itm/30441760965...Condition=3000

nothing that matches rim width/offset - but thought these 8.5 with 3 mm more offset would be close enough.

Looking for advice, don't want issues with them rubbing, and would prefer not to have to use spacers.

    Thanks!

Alzor is an ECS brand, so you're unlikely to find them anywhere else.

Hi all, I promise I searched and searched before asking. Has anyone ran a 20x10.5 et45 with a 255 35 20? I have some old spacers but haven稚 got the wheels and tires mounted yet. Just curious if anyone else has tried this before. I知 betting the front will be very close to suspension. I知 hoping to find the perfect offset to not have any trimming or massaging. I知 dropped on coil overs but at max height.

Just curious if anyone else has tried this before. I知 betting the front will be very close to suspension. I知 hoping to find the perfect offset to not have any trimming or massaging. I知 dropped on coil overs but at max height.

I have looked at that, I guess I知 mostly concerned about the wheel hitting the strut or tire rubbing on it without spacers. Thanks for the link though.

Et45 is going to be tough

Be prepared for at least a 10mm spacer. 15mm will make it a bit more flush.

The calculator also shows you how much a particular wheel moved towards/away from the strut.
So, just measure your stock wheel's edge/lip distance to strut and see how much room to move you have.
