Heatshield Dimensions

Does anyone have a sketch up or dimensions on their intake heatshield? I have an Injen intake and am looking to have a friend of mine craft up an aluminum shield for it since it does not come with one from Injen. I figure that the shields out there for USP, 034, etc. are all slightly different given the pipe angle but some sort of dimensions will really help get the ball rolling.

I have USP heat shield currently uninstalled, so I snapped some random pics for you. No clue if they are any help what so ever, but let me know if you want some different shots/ dimensions.

I just used cardboard, packing tape and scissors to mock up the shape of mine. Just start at the bottom mounting position, and bend, cut, and tape together pieces of cardboard until you have the shape/fit you want. Next, I flattened out my cardboard, and traced it onto aluminum sheet metal. Rebend the aluminum, put some edge trim on it, bolt/screw it down with rubber and metal washers, and you are done.

This actually helped tremendously.. thanks @jimrobbington. I'm going to take @brs2c advice and mock these dimensions you gave me with cardboard first and see if I need to make any adjustments for my intake tube. I will update here with progress for anyone else who is interested.

On the hot days, yes I have noticed it does help delay heatsoak, it is still coming on hot days with traffic or repeated pulls, but it does seem to delay it.

I used this on the top and rear edges to tighten fitment against the fender wall and the hood https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019RXHYVS...detail_5?psc=1

My theory was to try and seal it from the back side of the factory intake duct (which I left to keep cooler air flowing to my filter), to my intake pipe. I slightly angled the top of the aluminum heat shield, so the hood bends the shield just slightly towards the engine. I figured this, plus the form filling abilities of the bulb trim on the top would keep it as air tight as possible, over those headers.

Here is a pic of what my flattened template looked like.
If it stops raining I will go out and snap a pic of the finished product.
