It came with the gps antenna because the unit does not have any built in gps. If he wants to use any apps that require gps signal then he is going to need to connect the cable and mount the receiver somewhere.

Additionally, if he's not using his phone as a hotspot, he'll need a SIM in the RSNav unit for cellular data.

So i think the product is defective. It gets super got and shuts off.. Not sure if its a bug or how can i do a factory reset?

Just installed a 10.25 unit from rsnnav, overall pretty nice but I wasn’t expecting it to be so blurry. Is this a common thing on the 10.25 units?

no not normal. I would re-seat the harness and test before putting it all back together. Also check the cables that attach to the unit and reseat. I would get in touch with [email protected]

Got in touch with them and they said that it was in fact normal for the blue anti reflective screens and that a screen protector would help. Still somewhat surprising given how blurry it can be off angle. Might be worth noting for people deciding between screens.

Did you make sure toeither use the GPS antennae that came with it or to attach to the OEM shark fin?

I attached to the sharkfin and no issues for me.

I finally, after about a year of thinking about it, ordered a 10.25" RSNAV. I installed it this week and I'm very happy. Android Auto wired works. I haven't tried wireless yet. The only issue I have is that when I'm in Android and adjust the hvac temp, the popup that comes up on screen shows a temp that it 7 degrees lower than what the hvac controls show. I hadn't thought to check it while in the MMI but I will today.

I really like that I have the option for true AA with my texts coming up on screen and being read back to me, or I can tether my phone to it and uuse the Google Maps app if I want to do dual screen.

Does anyone know how to change the car icon that shows up on the right side of the screen when you are in the MMI and it's set to use half the screen? It looks like mine is showing a Q5 and I can't find any settings for that.

This is from a previous firmware update, but I believe the steps are still the same. I prefer the updated style UI so I haven't tried this on the older UI.

The main page's car image now can be customized: long press the Setting icon in main page, then there will be a prompt to choose a image. The image must be PNG format, transparent background, 500x375px or below.

Hey guys. Currently trying to figure out a solution. When I connect to my ranch with my phone on Bluetooth, it automatically connects me to the android Wi-Fi signal coking from the tablet. The issue is I don’t have tablet data so it stops my phone from being able to use internet, and then makes CarPlay useless. Anyway to get around this? Otherwise I love this thing!

I just did the update and the mcu to the latest version because my iPhone won’t connect for CarPlay. It is still asking for the pin even though the version say 3.9.21, anyone have the same issue and either know the pin or able to use CarPlay with iOS 15?

The answer to your question is earlier in this thread and has also been addressed in the Facebook RSNav group. I don't have a SIM or MicroSD card in mine, so I can't answer it, but the answer is out there. FYI, the Facebook group is a bit more active than this thread and the developer chimes in there as well.

This is how the unit is supposed to work. My phone connects to the RSNav unit first via bluetooth (GOCSDK) and then the wifi network created by the Android unit. When that connection is complete, that's when wireless CarPlay starts. I don't have a data plan on my RSNav unit, like yourself, but my phone is still connected to AT&T for all its data needs.

I'm using iOS 15.0.2 on my iPhone 13 Pro Max with no issues. Are you using the standalone CarPlay box or the 10.25" RSNav Android tablet? I have not run the recent ZLink updates because it's all working and I didn't want to break any functionality. I'm not in my car so I can't tell you what version my unit is running at the moment.

Hello guys i install for my s3 a front AHD camera the problem is when im parking it opens the back camera and the front if i go forward over 20km/h for some seconds and then it will closes. Is there any way to keep both of them open something like a split screen to see them on the same time?

Is there anyone that can help me with my install, I have a few CANBUS errors that won't clear and my MMI dial and buttons are constantly blinking and not working. I have reset canbus connections at both ends and I am at my wits end. Anyone can help?

Has anyone had success getting a new wiring harness from RSNAV? I got a 12.3 unit and didn’t realize it was for the 2G MMI so I need the one for the 3G. I emailed them but I’m concerned that since I received it as a gift and didn’t buy it directly from the they won’t sell me one.
Anyone have similar experience with that?

Got a 6MT 13 A4 and everything works perfectly, except that I can’t get it to automatically switch to the stock rear view camera when backing up. I have to click through some menus to get to it. Any suggestions? Thanks everyone!

I have the solutionfor the incorectly displayed original mmi screen if you still have the same problem

If any one has the probleme with the mmi stock displaying being cutted and half displayed or black screen.
The solution is go to settings > system reset > you will have a password enter 2109 > go to audi configuration chose ur model and go back to the stock screen to see if the mmi stock one is well displayed .

Apparently you have to tap the rear view camera wire to the reverse lights. Or else you need to go to your original MMI to see the rear view camera. Same issue with mine.

With the RSNAV S4 coming out soon I am considering getting either the 10 inch or the 8.8 inch unit for my RS5. For anyone that has the S3 now, can it handle multiple iPhones? For example, my wife drive my car sometimes and I want her to be able to connect seamlessly as well as my phone when I drive it.

Yes, it’ll work like a factory wireless CarPlay installation and will find your wife’s phone. If you’re both in the car, though, it might be a bit of a headache getting it to recognize and connect to the right phone.

Installed my new 10.25 in my S5 / 2011 yesterday, and ran into Problems. Rsnav boots up fine, can go everywhere,
but when I switch to the MMI, the screen goes black,
boot for 2-3 seconds, shows up, and again goes black....
Oh, and no sound....
Car mode under the factory setting is fine.
Today, I´ll check the wiring.
On the Quadlock Bypass the audio output needs no connection ?
Other suggestions?

Using an external USB DAC, and plugging into the Audi MMI port in the glovebox sounds so much better than using audio directly from the RSNAV unit by itself. Bass and midrange are more full and restored to factory levels. I don't feel like I need to pump the bass anymore. Upper/Highs are roughly the same, perhaps a little more clear. Overall it now sounds like the factory MMI Bang & Olefson system did, which is an improvement over RSNAV by itself.

Fiio USB DAC (though I'm sure MANY models will work great, I just used this one because many other folks do)
