Did it all with Harbor Freight tools in about a day. They send new seals also, no problems since. Now that you bring it up, I'm actually curious as to how you put the input shaft seal on anyhow? I assume just lube it up with oil and gently slide over. Also, how fast are you able to shift from 1st and 2nd?

There was a write-up in AUDIWORLD, back when he was racing and was a contributor to that forum, that detailed what "fails", what he did and how it worked...
I'm sure the new technology in synchro materials and better manufacturing methods (attention to tolerances and necessary clearances) make the new stuff a better
"mouse-trap"
From what I've read, the new syncros and collar are made of a stronger material, so I'll more than likely be going that route anyhow.

That's the plan. Updated collar + all new syncros on all of the gears.
