Ok, i fried something in the navi... It's always on.
I can't send back for repair... Too expansive... Too time without it!!!!
I can live without it!!!!! 🤣
Maybe i can only... If you send me an 8,8" and then i send back the 7" paying the difference and shipping cost....
Ok it's a joke or stupid idea...

I think i can cut positive from the navi (witch come from concert) and put under fuse under key..... So when i turn off the car... It cut off the power...
It is not awersome... But i think it is the only way....

    Any other suggest???
An app that shut down the navi???
I think, when it receive power, the navi start or not???

Please contact us over the website.
This isn't our customer service board.

If you open up the backplate, you'd see there is a burned FET in near the red rectangle area, especially, the small rectangle area.
If you are capable, we can discuss supplying an extra board.

To note for all our users, do not connect anything to the extra wires available without consulting us. This would destroy your unit.
    Thanks.

Trying to pick audi a4 2014 / 2015 to use with this head unit.

I'm on the fence between paying up for a car with factory B&O or going radio symphony and upgrading amp and speakers.

Which pros and cons do you see?

Does rsnav use a digital link to the amp?

All opinons is welcome and appreciated.

Just ordered one of the 7" LHT units. Installed an XCarLink in my car about a year ago and the thing sucks. Can't wait to get my hands on it :)

Same here, I am based in the UK and received the 7” LHT for my audi sq5 yesterday. I currently have the xcarlink with reversing camera and I wired in a front camera too. But I never got around to fitting the dvb-t digital tv and mirabox. It’s ok but the CarPlay functionality of rsnav had me sold. This rsnav solution seems so much more elegant than the xcarlink!

    Hello all,
Just a question: the 8.8" version can be installed on an audi a4 B8 where I already installed (retrofitted) an MMI3g+?
Because it seems that the "space" in the consolle is not enought to handle the 8.8" new display... also the original plastic is different... there will be a new plastic that will replace the original one?
It is possible to have some photos?
Lastly in my car, under the emergency light button/indicator builtin in the original plastic, I have also an indicator for the front passenger activation airbag. This would be a problem?
    Thanks

    Thanks!
    Just some clarifications:
    1) the hole for the emergency button will accept the standard button correct?
    2) no problem in using this device with an MMI3g Plus? I had the stardard MMI3G but changed with the plus version, I changed both the main unit and the keyboard keeping the old steering.
    3) when the unit will be available?

    Many thanks!

Wait are you saying this is a new mold to produce units for the 8.8 or are you just showing what is involved in making a new trim piece and why it's not feasible for you to make?

Because if it's the former, I'd be royally pissed after you convinced me a few weeks ago to change the 8.8 unit I purchased on Cyber Monday. After waiting months for you to find a solution it would sting to find out that waiting just a bit longer was an option despite being told otherwise.

Edit: this comes off way more passive agressive than I intended. Just didn't want to presume anything on Daniel's part.

I maybe able to add some in sight to this situation. I was very adament on ordering the 8.8" I waited a very long time. Since black Friday when I changed from 10.25. Daniel made multiple attempts to verify the 8.8 plastic bezel would be available from the vendor. The vendors employee who quoted daniel screwed up as they had a prior commitment with a bigger company apparently and thus the A4 plastic 8.8 was all but killed. The vendor refused even to sell just the few pieces so Daniel could satisfy the orders he had taken. Daniel contacted me offering me a refund or whatever it would take to make things right. I was annoyed to be honest and pushed to get a complete explanation as to what happened. Seeing as the weather had been horrible and I would not be installing the unit anytime soon I doubled down and told Daniel how disappointed I was. He then contacted to Owner/ fabricator and basically telling them they were liable for his problem, they agreed to finally make a New 8.8" for the A4 they was different from the original one they had designed which was copyrighted. At every step Daniel in my opinion just wants to make his customers happy and although it took me holding out until he made something happen, he's going to deliver. I was contacted by Daniel with a rough mock up of the 8.8" 2nd design for RS Nav and I asked of it was ok too post but Daniel wanted to make sure he had them on hands before advertising and not have a fiasco as before. The original design IMO was amazing as the screen looked flush with the bezel. Looking at the mock up of the 2nd design I think it actually looks more OEM. Seeing as Daniel had shared the mold for the bezel, here is the mock up for the 8.8".

And when I told him I was willing to wait after a month he emailed me back and said it wasn't possible. So hopefully you can see why I'm a bit steamed at this development. I waited all summer, had I been given the opportunity I would have waited longer and had indicated as such to him.

To be clear, the 8.8 was nearly dead at the moment that i notified you. Despite, fastbke170 above wanted 8.8 badly, thus i pushed further and in last few days things advanced quicker than ever. Nevertheless, no body knows how long will it take to supply 8.8 for b8.

I will replace your existing device with 8.8 if you hope. After all, all they use the same hardware except housing and screen.

This is not the end of the world, and i am always listening and trying to deliver the best. You ask, and i will get what you want.

    Just, email me.

Well, this only lends to Daniel’s seeming commitment to this endeavor. I’m sure a lot of this is learning as you go so kudos for sticking with it while keeping us updated!

I was all but ready to throw in the towel myself re the 8.8” version until I read this so I’m very encouraged! That this 8.8” has been pulled from the grave and given a new lease on life was a welcomed surprise!

D, here’s hoping this solution turns out to be the right one and that this can get moved up the pipeline. I’m sure you’ll have a few of us waiting in the wings, anxiously awaiting your confirmation that it’s official and it’s ready for purchase!

Can somebody add following to the wiki that

DO NOT INSTALL torque app until further noticed or force any kind of bluetooth setting change from android system.

The BT is not like normal smartphone BT. It's special one designed to receive a2dp music streaming, handsfree call whereas a normal smartphone does send a2dp music streaming and send handsfree call.

If you install torque or any other app that induces BT module to work like normal smart phone, then the BT capability will be lost.

To fix this, there is no way but do factory restore in the realsun setting.

We will make the torque work later, but not now.

Anyone else with MMI 3G+ out there?

Here are the two connectors from my factory MMI 3G+ screen, the LVDS connector plugged right into the RSNAV screen but what is the connector on the left? The RSNAV has no sound despite enabling and selecting AUX. The connector shown seems to be labelled amp, I suspect it might relate to the speaker system and explain why RSNAV doesnt play any sound.

Power+ground to oem display. Try disable aux again, restart system(mmi 3button), enable again, restart and plug aux connector in and out again in quadlock, maybe it will help, if nothing more serious.

Thanks I will give it a try. By quadlock I presume you are referring to the large connector in the back of the factory MMI? I haven’t connected anything specifically ‘aux’ related, I presumed once aux was enabled that the rsnav wiring loom connects to the MMI to pass through the audio by aux

Yep, just disconnect and reconnect rsnav loom again. Aux part is position C(just in case)!

    Great thank you.

Is there any need to connect the rsnav grey wires labelled ‘front speaker positive’ and ‘front speaker negative’? Something to do with audio for nav guidance voice?

Is there any need to connect the rsnav grey wires labelled ‘front speaker positive’ and ‘front speaker negative’? Something to do with audio for nav guidance voice?
I do not think so. The loose wires are not to be tapped or used AFAIK.

If you install torque or any other app that induces BT module to work like normal smart phone, then the BT capability will be lost.

To fix this, there is no way but do factory restore in the realsun setting.

We will make the torque work later, but not now.

It's rather difficult to penetrate the great firewall of china to connect to the western world. I sorted out somehow bypassing such, but it's unreliable and slow. Pewh.

I did recovered from cold a bit and started working hard to compensate.
As an alternative to Torque etc, I've been using Dash Command with a KIWI3 OBDII adapter and it works flawlessly.

For MMI 3G plus do I need to enable aux through both the green menu and VCDS?

Hey wondering if anyone can help me out looking for a way to turn the display off or dimmimg it a bit more than what it is offered . I tried dimming to the lowest setting but it still pretty bright at night.. and yes I know the dials are backwards on the unit (high setting dim, dim setting is high)...is there an app that I can use or some hidden setting I'm not seeing..
