Agreed and mine is RHD. You can manually set carinfo to “off”. Go to RSNAV settings page, and then set “Overlay display” to “Do not show nothing” (default is 5 sec).

Thanks for the tip, I'll turn off the overlay, just wish it would work properly as the semi transparent fan control overlay is a nice touch

Hi All,
After applying the june update there is even an update of the dongle software that solved the "usb authorization problem".
This software even offer the capability of performing "live updates" of both the apk portion and the USB Firmware portion.
I did the apk live update portion without any problem but with the Dongle firmware update the system says that my USB Dongle current software is too old and I need to perform an "U-Disk" update first.
Someone know where I can download the firmware of the dongle to perform such as update?

"AudiWind" is also popping up randomly even though I've not touched any of the fan controls.

So what's the point of "car info" app? It pops up when I start and then goes away. I don't really understand it. There are checks, x's and red X's which don't seem to correlate to anything.

Also, the temp controls no longer show up when if just the temp.

Anyone having the same issues?

As far as I know it works on the rpm when I plug in the obdii. But is useless for time being for me. So I just disabled it.

Interesting. I don't have anything plugged into my OBD port. I see rpm and speedo working, but they seem a bit janky.

To elaborate a bit more, this replaces the screen with a touch screen. It is basically an android tablet with all the abilities of using apps for nav and music. Comes with a backup camera as well. You can insert a SIM card for internet, or share your phone's data connection for internet.

Basically, its pretty sweet. Its come a long way in just about a year since its been available.

I did and it didn't have any info on what the product is, the name, or how to get it. The 2nd post asked for a link to the product, but the reply said it wasn't allowed so I still have no idea what this product is or how I would even go about getting one.

Anyone confirm that the temp overlay matches what the factory screen indicates? Overlay this morning said 68*, but it's really set to 72. I also had it display 66.444444444. something ain't right...

I'm answering myself.
To who is even interested to updgrade the box here the informations that I followed (and worked). After this update even the box will update directly from the internet.

1. Download Auto_Box_Update.img Version: 2018.03.06.1845

2. Format USB drive (Udisk) FAT32 then move Auto_Box_Update.img onto Udisk.

3. Install the new AutoPlay App. Version 2018.03.26.2007

4. Start the new AutoPlay App. Version 2018.03.26.2007

5. Insert Udisk into CarPlay dongle first.

6. Insert CarPlay Dongle into Avin HeadUnit USB.

7. Select Ok to default USB App popup message.

8. Wait for firmware update completion message.

The best option, is to remove the connection behind your screen to do a reboot, that will fix it. As mention by Daniel previously.

Yes, I know that's the way to "fix" it but it goes back to not working after a few days. Pulling the trim and screen is a PITA. I'll just have to wait for a permanent fix.

Daniel has a warning on the RSNAV site that Android users should not set "Audi Original Interface" as the default startup interface. There is some kind of critical bug that will be resolved in next firmware release.

I also want to report that I just noticed that in the RealSun settings, you can deactivate certain Audi buttons. I deactivated the volume scroll button. This way the android unit stays at maximum volume output, and the volume is controlled only by the Audi amplifier.

Parking guideline is really has something with AUDI CANBUS itself.

Mostly and increasingly we are getting more and more stabilization but still, the CANBUS decoder failed to grab the data from time to time and persistent in some cases.

It's not like we have instruction from Audi for what to catch on the matter of grabbing canbus data, but we set up a some kind of snipping tool in a car and capture the communication which seems to be a specific function.

That's why sometimes it's hit and miss.

I copied the 1st update to the root of sdcard, inserted a USB, entered the password and away it went updating successfully. I then deleted the 1st update file and attempted the same process for installing the 2nd update, but it didn't work. It booted into the recovery menu and eventually rebooted without updating.

I haven't tried the 3rd update as I'm following the instructions on RSNAV and they say to do the updates in order. How can I get the CAN BUS update installed?

meanwhile, cut my left hand severely while installing this, so had to rest a few days as well.
will try to answer emails in the next few days.

Googlel assistant is reserved to newer androids, and there is no way to support it unless we root it and you tweak it.
