You are welcome, Shark.

mcu is the file you can download from RSNAV.com and it´s a "bin" file. Don´t know the term for it ("firmware", "software" or "OS" updater), but you have to apply it AFTER "update.zip".

Nice! Is there any timeline to suspend wheel button clicks when AUX is not enabled? What about the realsun settings language edits?

Oh, they did the translation too.
The aux sensing will take some time... it has to be something to do with CANBUS, and not even sure if it's possible. I am a bit confused here how we were sensing the aux. I think there was a method, but not sure if that was applied to this build of hardware or it was canbus thing.

BTW, any chance to customize AUX icon in UI? Those who are not enabling the AUX connection will appreciate to have another app available instead of it... changing the icon/name will be the icing on the cake.

The goal is to have a similar level of customization such as Carwebguru, for example.

I sent Daniel an A4 B8.5 Avant (Nardo grey) png file to see if it´s possible to use it as icon in the new UI. Hope it Works.

the number doesn't match with downloaded file.....but they are changed.....

I had the same problem, so I copied the zip file into the SD card and finally the system rebooted from there.

but this step never seen

Trying to use an app and it says the device is rooted but the ‘hide root’ type apps aren’t working because it can’t find su binary.

I can't adjust the map orientation.... it is always oriented to nord and not as usually

I used it a little at first just to see what it was all about. It had pretty good detail, but it wont update with road changes, etc. Its basically just like the old GPS units (garmin, etc) with loaded maps. Why dont you use google maps or waze? Those are miles ahead of igo maps and are constantly updated.

Or if you´re looking for a decent offline nav, I suggest you Sygic. I deleted iGo after 10 minutes...

i love sygic and i always use it and i havi it on navi.
but till the audi ui isn't editable....the button navi launch igo...so i've updated map to 2017 q3...and i play with it.... that's all

The navi button also launches Google Maps (as suggested by Elscotto) if you set so in Realsun menú.

Does anyone know if it's safe to temporarily disconnect the hazard lights button in an A5? I know that if you do this in some VW models without disconnecting the battery first it triggers a fault that has to be cleared via VAGCOM or whatever.

If I do need to disconnect the battery first, since I've never done that in a modern Audi before, is there anything I should be prepared for first? Like losing MMI settings or having to contact the dealer for a radio code they neglected to give me?

(I need to replace the bezel with a spare one that I am going to perform crazy experiments on. It's even complete with its own button, but it seems the button is inserted from the front of the bezel so the cable has to come off at some point.)

You will have a code stored with it disconnected and you will need vagcom to clear. Disconnecting the battery will just reset your tripometer to zero. I don't believe I lost any AMI settings. There is no radio code like in the past. Just be prepared for some error that vagcom will clear. Not a big deal.

THanks, but you're solving a different problem. I've been able to update the basic unit fine. It is the "AutoPlayBox.apk" for the AutoPlay/CarPlay that won't seem to install. I've downloaded 2 different .apks (they are different sizes so I'm going to assume they are different) but the installation doesn't actually take. I'm downloading the .apk from within the browser and executing the file. Not sure what else I need to do to get the .apk to apply.
