The red trim on the RS3 is IMO a little lighter than other red trim/stitching on other Audi models like the new RS6. That being said, I do like it, but preferred the non RS design interior minus the silver air vents. If the RS3 that was available local to me had it, I would of purchased, but there was one spec’d how I’d like it near me, so that’s what I went with.

Photos of the RS design are all over the place. It does look better in person. I do also see how it could look almost pink or very light red in bright light, but overall looks red. I do like the seats with red stitching, just not a fan of the seat belts or red trim air vents..

I have the red trim in my car. I was at first worried that it would be too much but quickly warmed to it. Love it now.

I swapped out the red rings in the air vents to gloss black rings.
Now my vents have a flat black adjuster ring, and gloss black accent ring.
Way better and not overly flashy.
I always thought the red rings made it look like the design was trying too hard...
With the gloss black rings, it makes the red stitching and the red edged seat belts more classy and appropriate.

the RS design package was the only option i did not get and i regret it. i think the comments i read on here some said it was too raceboy looking and that turned me off. then i saw it in person and was mad i didn’t have it.

i replaced the vents with the OEM RS design ones. that appears to be about as close as i can get without spending a small fortune. for what i paid for just the vents i could have purchased half the total RS design option.

I custom ordered my car specifically so I wouldn't have the carbon inlays (because every black car I've seen has them and I wanted illuminated inlays, plus I just don't care for carbon) and I also went without the RS design package. No regrets. I can appreciate the RS design package but it's too boy racer for my taste. So yes I'm sure I'm in the minority but w/e my car is quirky and unique like me. The black exterior and silver and black and aluminum interior looks classy IMO and that's the only opinion that matters since I'm the only one driving it

Probably in the minority but not a fan of it, feel like the red is too distracting and kind of meh at the same time. My car has everything but the RS design interior and am glad it is configured this way. Although the alcantara sides on the center console would be nice. If the RS design interior was like the Arras Red interiors offered in other S and RS models, I'd be all over it. Wish they would have offered that as another interior option, possible named RS Design Plus Interior.

I went back and forth on blue or white for the exterior. I love the blue but wanted to blend in a little more and im not a loud person when it comes to car design. Since i went more subdued on the outside i went rs design on the inside to give it a little something extra to make it more special for me.

Worth it in my opinion, glad I got it. Love the red stitching everywhere.
