Key Replacement

I did some searching but couldn't come across anything definitive.

I'm looking for an extra keyfob for my b8.5. It has advanced key if that makes any difference.

Dealer wants about 400 including programming which seems crazy.

Is it possible to get a key from ebay and then get it programmed? Something like this

Or what about buying an S4 key from another car and reprogramming it?

The key can only be programmed by the dealer.
And the description on that ebay ad says that it wont work with advanced key.

the price is really not that over priced. Most modern keys are in the$300 range

Theres someone over in Poland who is an audi tech that could probably program it for you - you'll need to purchase a cable off of ebay to do it though (vag com will not work). Not sure what his prices would be though.

Dont intend to revive an old thread but didnt want to start a new one and I have the same issue. I found two options but they dont say wont work with advanced key.

The part number from ebay is 8k0959754F and the second link is 8k0959754bb. My key says 8k0959754bb so would that work or is there more to it than that?

I apologize for resurrecting an older thread, but how do you tell if you need an advanced key? I'm looking and seeing several on eBay and Amazon, and want to make sure I don't purchase one that won't work. Also, has anyone source the FOB that actually says "S4" on it? I purchased a used S4 and it only had one key.
