P2101 code 04 S4 Tip

So this just happened. Was at a stop light and accelerated. Car lost all power. (Limp mode?)EPC light came on. Pulled over, checked code, cleared, restarted car, ran fine, code still there. Only new change was muffler delete a few weeks ago.

So from reading, So that code, i need to clean my throttle body, do a quick alignment and should be good. If not, tb replaced... Luckily I have one in the garage I am porting.

Thoughts, opinions?

sounds like you're on the right track... maybe start working towards finishing the porting on your spare...

I had just installed my ported throttle body, did the alignment check from vcds, cleared codes.. ran car a about a mile. Epc, check engine and battery light came on. Lost all power and steering. Luckily I was next to oreillys. Checked battery, starter and alternator, all good. Cleared codes. Drove home. No issues or codes, opened her up a bit. Still no codes or epc issue.

Cleared those codes, drove it home, ran VCDS cleared codes, no issues as of yet, except a to rich on bank 2 pending fault. cleared that... Crossing fingers that all is over.

Still getting that rich on bank 2 fault, think I either have a faulty o2 sensor (not sure how to test for that) or maybe it isn't agreeing with the muffler delete. xpipe being added hopefully next week.

Weird. I've got e a run rich on bank two condition that started 1 day after my muffler delete, Dont know how a muffler delete could cause that though

ECU or Throttle body maybe? Try cleaning TB, i guess. Does pedal works as usual? (shot in a dark)
Good luck with electronics, dealing with Gearbox gremlins for a month now..

just replaced the TB with a ported and polished and cleaned one, that's when I started getting the bank 2 message. ironically, my pedal is a bit "I have to push it way the hell down to open up" but that is occasionally. mine is a Tiptronic as well.

I am picking up a used ECU and having a tune added to it, so that is going to be replaced soon anyway.

Well....

Just changed out my TB, had some issues getting it to do an alignment on block 060 on VCDS, finally got it done, these were the codes before it was done. Solenoid is not an issue as I have replacements that are being added. 034 mounts. Going to keep an eye on it after this test, once the test completed, less rough idle and a bit punchier.
4 Faults Found:
17985 - Right Engine Mount Solenoid Valve (N145) P1577 - 004 - Open Circuit
17987 - Throttle Actuator (J338) P1579 - 001 - Adaptation Not Started
17951 - Angle Sensor 1 for Throttle Actuator (G187) P1543 - 002 - Signal too Small
17580 - Angle Sensor 2 for Throttle Actuator (G188) Signal too Low P1172 - 002 - Readiness: 0110 1101




Considering replacing ECU and updating ground wire from battery.

did that, drier than my ex wifes soul. I was able to get a better test done after letting car get to running temp (derp) Thanks Q_dubz for that bit of insight I was overlooking.
