Packaging was very good. Everything was well wrapped and protected. The box was HUGE but light. I loaded the instructions on my iPad and it showed assembling the airbox but mine came fully assembled. Taking off the stock box was quite easy. I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone says don't forget about the torx bolt on the stock box and while in a less than adequate place it was easy to get out and not drop. My dykes were not strong enough for the Oetiker clamp but a pair of tin snips worked.

I did not lube the silicon tubing either and dorked around a bit to get it sitting just right. My packaging was missing the bolt to attach the air scoop to the vehicle. I just zip tied it and contacted IE on facebook. They responded within about 15 minutes, profusely apologized and I have another bolt on the way. Great response.

Performance: It seems as if throttle response is a bit better and if I bury the peddle a bit more turbo wail...not obnoxious or anything close to my friends RS3 with the open top CTS intake. It looks so much better than the stock airbox. However, for most that really won't matter since you aren't parking your car and leaving your hood open :-) It will look quite sweet at cars and coffee though LOL. Butt Dyno says car is faster now.

The MAJOR downside with this intake is now I have to buy more carbon bits to match otherwise the engine bay looks off to me.

I plan on heading back to the dyno now with the APR intercooler and this intake installed and compare.
Are you tuned? I can't wait for this dyno!

Butt dyno likes it specially after the valve lift crossover. Down low it responds a little more. Sound is actually pretty quiet. Gotta drive it later tonight to verify.

I'm assuming 93 octane? In Houston, that's a pretty weak number unless you were pretty heat soaked...

For the wheels? You sure you're not thinking of crank? I would assume this is stage 1 e85 as the crank #s are 540 from APR meaning ~ 450 at the wheels.

I don't think that's weak at all on a Mustang dyno - in fact exceptionally strong if 93 octane. I recall typical stock RS3 on a Mustang is mid-300 whp range and pump tune doesn't break 400whp by much. If this was the E85 tune then I'll just call it 'good' or where it should be.

This is actually for the Mercedes A class.

Did some minor modification (drill a hole) to make it fit with one of the hole and used the original plastic clip. It also comes with 3m double sided tape to hold it in place.. I think it turned out ok.

there are several different options (Gloss black. Carbon Fibre etc).

    here is the link

    I got mine on ebay..

Yep. Sadly I'm in the same boat. There is ONE station within 20 miles of me that carries ethanol. I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to always fill there, vs just using the crappy 91 I can get anywhere

Iíve got a station with E85 on my way home... if I go the long way. For sake of convenience and warranty, Iím planning to stick with 91 octane and go the APR Plus route. Adding the APR intercooler and Integrated Engineering intake will help close up some of the gap created by not running E85. Based upon other recent results, that combo should be in the 500 (crank) horsepower range.

I donít know. I just raced today with my buddyís which has IE intake and APR intercooler with 91 tune. I have Eventuri intake with E85 tune and stock intercooler.

My E85 was definitely faster. No contest. You really canít replace what E85 tune does with other bolt ones. Maybe he can chime more here...

I said ďclose the gapĒ... not even things up. Instead of an 80hp deficit, it should be more like 40hp down on a car running JUST an E85 tune. Clearly, if you stack the same mods on top of an E85 tune, the horsepower gap will jump right back up.

Awful pic and car is at an odd angle hence all the fender gap. Pouring rain on and off so just slapped them on. HRE FF04 19x9.5 et 45. Wrapped in Michelin 4s 255/30.

Yea, same general plan here - intake, 91 tune, intercooler, some sort of exhaust setup...that will probably be the best setup for overall convenience and enjoyment over here.

Yup, got it when they did the tour de France sale.

My buddy uses his on his GTI and loves it. Figure it's cheaper than base bars and a rack

Of course I did not dyno it stock. I am debating just doing the "stock" APR map and see what it is.

Black Audi Rings front and rear. Bought the Audi Rings, took forever to be delivered. Went with the Audi ones because I wanted to make sure they were a perfect match for the chrome rings. Iíve see some that arenít quite the same size as stock.

Nice bike, which seasucker do you have? I have the one that holds two bikes (talon?).

I was concerned about any flex on the sunroof as the four cups were sealed... Was there any that you noticed?

Not cheap and be prepared to wait. Took several weeks for them to come in.
