Wonder how much it weighs, would prefer something a little higher, and take out the rear seats.

Method Effects front splitter!!! Looks great IMO. Sleeves OVER the center portion of the chin making for a unique design. Really dig the look.

The price was expected for me. It is a niche Audi and they are unlikely to sell many for that reason.

Want to say I am very jelly, actually I am.
But, actually, I feel way more, like wtf....?!?!? Thanks AWE!
Esp, after buying two exhaust and remote systems, for my '15 and '17R's.

Sort of, it uses the OE flap controllers- the switchpath has a new valve on the passenger side and you simply use the controller. The other side is just hidden up and away and not utilized other than for code suppression.

The track uses neither of the controllers other than for code suppression. Hopefully this makes sense.

They use plugs with code prevention, in place of motors?

Not on this they don't. Per their install:

    ĒFor SwitchPathô Installation:
Transfer the factory valve motor to the bracket located on the
passenger side tailpipe section, and reconnect the factory
    harness.
Install the MVS Bracket onto the factory valve motor, from the
driver side tailpipe section of the OE exhaust, using the
factory mounting bolts, as shown by Arrow A in Figure 10.
Use a cable-tie to secure the motor up and away from the
exhaust and reconnect the factory harness, as shown by
    Arrow B in Figure 10.
Start the vehicle, and switch to Dynamic mode; confirm this
opens the valve to verify proper operation.

    For Track Edition Installation:
Remove the factory valve motors from each tailpipe section of the OE exhaust.
Install the MVS Bracket onto the factory valve motor, from the driver side tailpipe section of the OE
exhaust, as shown by Arrow A in Figure 10.
Use a cable-tie to secure the motor up and away from the exhaust and reconnect the factory
harness, as shown by Arrow B in Figure 10.
Reconnect the factory harnesses to the valve control motors and repeat MVS Bracket installation
    for the passenger side.Ē

No. The valve actuator is still connected to the system, just tucked away with the track exhaust.

So for the switch path model it looks like with the valve closed all the exhaust would exit via the left pipe after traveling through the silencer, then when the valve opens exhaust would be able to exit via the right pipe which is more of a straight through design.

    Nope.

I took a full guided tour of the AWE facilities. I was beyond impressed. Met the men and women who take raw American steel and make it into this exhaust. The Audi system is GONE. The flaps and controllers are bespoke and made in house by AWE. They are hearty af. I picked it up and checked it out. Unlike most Switchpath systems this RS3 model is hardwired into the MMI. No remote. Itís ludicrous.. photo of the flap controller. And my OEM which Iím trying to figure out what to do with.

Thanks for reply... I was hoping they junked the OEM valves and actuators. Its definitely a weak link on the OEM system.

I was confident that these AWE valves (after seeing them on a table) were totally going to play nicer then the rattling OEM ones! . Plus i was surprised at the bends in the Audi product and how it actually narrowed the diameter of the metal. The AWE product maintains diameter trough Mandrel bends.

Are you still running the oem DP?

If so, I cannnot imagine how loud it would be flaps full open, catless, no resonators, etc...

I may pull off both motors, and ziptie them up.
Ne motor looks the sane as what I had on my R, they give you an 3-4 wiring adaptor?

I found that the sound is a little different with the crackles and pops in any of the auto modes. With paddles the downshifts are addictive and LOUD!! Really loud pops and crackles. Iíll try to get a good video.

No wonder the RS 3 gets hit with such heat soak! That is a thick but tiny intercooler.

I can truly see, even in stock form, that an upgraded intercooler is an immediate must on this platform.
