Anyone elses driver's seatback squeaking when you lean back into it?

It shouldn't take them a week to do that. I get taking their time and being careful - but a week is a long time for that replacement. Or is it sitting there while they get the parts in?

Gotcha. I just wouldn't let my car sit there for that long unless it absolutely had to.

Funny, I was at the dealership sitting in an S3 and noticed this as well as a little "give". Almost felt like something was loose in the bottom of the seat.

Going in next week for clunking rear shocks. I'll see what they say about the seat. 1900 miles on the car now and seat squeak just started in the last 100 miles.

This may have been discussed but if not:

What individual settings are you guys using if at all?

Iím trying out dynamic for all except suspension on comfort for the winter. The pothole situation here is getting bad as it usually does this time of year so Iím trying for a bit more give on that. Iím not a fan of altering these settings too much bc I donít like the car responding differently than Iím used to when pushing hard. It seems just the suspension change isnít too much of a departure.

Is it really not possible to option an RS3 in the U.S. with power front seats and memory driver's seat?

These seats are not offered with power anywhere in the world, they simply donít exist. Plus you would sit about an inch higher too.

The sport seats are pretty nice, easy to adjust and smooth operation. Comes with power lumbar support at least. I set it and forget it, haven't had to adjust in 2k km so far.

That's what my sales guy said when I asked. He said "hmm let me think like a German... performance car... weight savings, nobody else will be driving it so once it's set you just leave it as is". Made sense as i'll be the only one driving the car as well.

Yeah, if I didn't swap cars with my wife on occasion I wouldn't care. I'm pretty picky about my seating position and it takes me a little while to get it JUST right. Having to do that a few times a month would really wear on me...

There is a TSB for the rear clunking. I'm not exactly sure what they did but there was either part of a shipping lock still in place or they knocked something out of wack when removing them.

    No more rear clunking.

We are leaving the squeaking seat for now as I hardly notice it and don't want them to tear into the seat just yet. They had a low mileage RS3 from Audi HQ there and it's seat also squeaked. I'm sure a fix will filter up the chain eventually and at least it's documented now.

Good experience with Audi Chantilly in VA service writer Brian Kennedy.

Brian is great, I exclusively go through him when I use Chantilly, but I normally make the drive to Audi Silver Spring.

Definitely interested to know the TSB # when you can post it.

For the last month, the car developed passenger seat rattle/squeak. It doesnít happen when someone is seating on it and it happens randomly. VERY annoying. Does anyone have this issue?

I haven't heard back from him and they didn't give me any paperwork. Seemed weird at the time to not get paperwork but this is my first experience with Audi and just figured that's how they roll.

No worries hopefully he gets back to you. Yah personally i have never not received paperwork especially for a TSB just my experience. I'd rather have all documents in order incase issues occur or problems down the road that's just me though.

Heard back from Audi about the rear shock rattle/clunk and TSB. Apparently there isn't a TSB but there was one back in 2015 for A3/S3 and I guess this lead the service writer to suspect that a boot/cover on the rear shock covers the shipping block.

Per Audi, the A3/S3/RS3 are the only Audis that have a boot/cover over the rear shock that can hide the block. So it was missed during PDI.

Anyone else noticing that the front tires kick up what seems to be an absurd amount of road dirt / grime high along the driver and passenger doors?
Went for a drive in the country this weekend and was slinging gravel and mud everywhere.

Coming to a hard stop sometimes causes a clunk from the transmission, it think from it shifting back into first gear. Happens infrequently, and I donít know to reproduce it. Happens cold or warmed up.
