Does the fan control module control both fans? Im trying to find what component would cause both fans to be inop at high temp and with the ac on. Just started to day both electric fans wont come on tested all the fuses under the dash.. there is power going to fan wires next to power steering res. Also old posts aren't very helpful in finsing the relays for these fans, are there two different ones?

Yes electric ones.. is that the only component tied to power both the fans? Or is the relay for power of the control module too. Just jumped both fans to the battery and the both work. Do you know of a way to test fan module?

which wires? you should have a power supply plug and a control plug. then you should have two out put plugs for power.

If you FCM isnt bad, then it may be a relay or sensor. But my money is on the FCM.

checkout that diagram first. worth poking shit a bit since its free.

Go with a unit from FCP Euro, it may be a few dollars more, but they will replace it whenever no questions asked. I get all my sensors and other electrical parts from them so they are covered.

Did enough troubleshooting I believe to point me towards fcm. But you will not fucking believe this..

I just ordered the fcm from europa parts, went to move the car to put it on ramps to pull old one off and both fans kicked on and off woth the ac like they should lmfao gonna let the car get up to temp to make sure they come on with hot coolant too. This is insane lol

You need to check the output from the FCM with an osciliscope. The FCM outputs a variable square wave. I had a fan that would work intermittently in the car but worked great with 12V, figured shit the fan is good and bought a used FCM. Same thing happened with the replacement FCM. Got pissed and did more research and finally broke out the oscilliscope. Sure enought both controllers were good. Replaced the fan and haven't had an issue since then.

Appears FCM was the culprit this time, fans are working as they should. Thanks fellas
