Steering issue - need help ASAP

Hi Guys, I need your help ASAP
Yesterday аfter the rain I took my son for a fun ride through the puddles.
Today I've noticed the steering wheel has started to work much harder.
It isn't hard in full cycle. When wheels are straight and I start to turn it's hard after small change it's become normal... continue and it's hard again. Like waves. No vibrations during driving, no noses.
No leaks, vag-com - no codes.
What should I look into ?

Did you get mud in your belly pan? Maybe something got wedged in there, I would check underneath and rule it out.

Thank you for everyone. I found a core of the problem and fixed.

It was steering shaft joint under a car (not in a cabin). Cleaned with WD40 greased with Motul grease.

Was it the universal joint at the bottom of the steering column's intermediate shaft that you cleaned and lubed? (Part # 6 in this pic) ...

I just had this shaft replaced in my 2011 S4 recently, because it had developed a squeaking noise during low speed turns in either direction (e.g., turning into a parking spot, driveway, etc.). The dealer was initially going to lubricate it but felt the problem was just going to return. Since it was under warranty, they just replaced the shaft (which includes the universals at each end of it). The noise went away and the steering feel also improved - much like it was when the car was new.
