What group size battery do our cars have, also are they agm or lead acid?

I've had decent luck with Walmart brand made by Johnson Controls

You can use either but the AGM is heavier for the same size and costs ~10% more.

I used the 1000 CCA Autocraft one from Advance auto, $152.99 - 20% by purchasing online with the freq coupons they distribute then pick it up in-store. In conclusion, I recommend flooded.

I have the Wal-Mart battery too. Works fine. Made by johnson controls ( One of the few good actual battery makers) I have it along with an XS power cell battery in the trunk. It pushes a 5000 watt competition amp and a JL Audio door speaker amp just fine.

Plus walmart's battery has a 5 yr warranty (3 yr replacement, + additional 2yr prorated) so even if you get a junker somehow you are covered (and there are a bazillion walmart stores). That is my strategy anyway.
One thing to note, there is a $12 core charge at walmart. You can either bring in your old one when you get a new one or if you buy the new one ahead of time you get a receipt slip and can bring the other one in later and get your $$ back.

I noticed the warranty that was a plus. The fact that its cheaper than the advanced auto one is also a plus.

What a difference a new battery makes for our cars. Starts so much faster now. Looks like I still had the original battery, but could not see any dates on it to confirm. I don't understand how the original one was factory, 790cca and heavier but the new one from Walmart was lighter and 900cca.
