    Whats up guys,
I recently came across a deal for some S7 calipers and wanted to know could these fit my A7? Or has
    anyone else done this?

I believe so, but need to make sure your wheels can accommodate those monsters.

The S7 callipers are huge, in fact they are bigger than the RS7 ones.

If your running OEM alloys (I am) then they are fine with 19" as well as 20". If your not running OEM, then you need to ensure you are at OEM specification as far as the size is concerned to ensure they clear the callipers.

Yes, they do. Plug n' Play, however as stated in the above threads, the calipers and rotors are "HUGE!" When searching for wheels, use the S7 as the model, to be sure the wheel clears the calipers. The best part is, the Stopping Power is AWSOME! With the additional HP and Torque from the Stage II 3.0 it's nice to have some additional stopping power. Many have complained about noisy stops, rusty rotor hats, and dusty pads. I had my hats painted with chassis paint and went with EBC "redstuff" pads with very good results

+1 for Redstuff pads, by far my preferred street pad. Very very nice upgrade over stock... better stopping power and less dust! Win win!

Here is a link in case anyone needs a set!

    Yes, they are aluminum.

edit: <the caliper is lighter in weight, however the stock rotor is heavy as hell! As p3u stated>

Yes, for sure. You need a 400mm rotor, not many choices available either.

Absolutely. The larger calipers are designed to fit around a larger rotor.
FYI there are many 19 inch wheels that do not clear the calipers of the S6/S7. I would have 20 inch wheels ready to go if you do this upgrade.
If you want more stopping power, you can also go aftermarket. The best 400mm rotor would be from GiroDisc. They stay cooler during hard use than the stock rotors and therefore last a little longer.

As other have stated they are direct bolt on, but they are VERY heavy.

Not sure what your budget is, but consider the RS 8 pot calipers for the ultimate setup (short or carbon ceramic that is).

I've paired mine to 380mm Girodisc rotors for a very light setup with incredible stopping power.

Ignore the dirty car, it's been raining too much to keep clean lol.

Mr. P3u, nice job on the brake setup. I'm definitely going your route for rotors, less unsprung weight and they look great! Any rotor solutions for 336mm rears?

Off topic: I read some post on the forum that you might be selling your car?

Heres a better photo of the RS 8 piston calipers with Girodisc 380mm rotors. 26lbs lighter compared to the S6 setup.

Thanks man! I currently have the 330mm Girodisc for the rear, however a 356mm setup is in the works. I'll most likely upgrade to that once out.

I was going to sell it, but after a week I changed my mind. I was going to buy a stage 2 S8, but think I'm going to hold out to see if the RS6 comes stateside.

Thanks for the heads up! Unfortunately I'll probably not be able to do this then . I have some brand new Aftermarket 19 inch wheels. wompwomp

19" wheels fit as long as spoke shape/offset is correct.

    RS5 calipers

    8T0615107D
    8T0615108D

They are direct bolt on, brackets included.

Also, these are the same calipers as found on the C5 RS6, B7 RS4, 1st gen R8 and Lamborghini Gallardo (sans the brackets).

Sorry for bumping this old thread, but I currently stumbled across a B7 RS4 oem brake kit including the rotors. I have a 2012 a7 c7. From what I’m reading the calipers should fit fine, but would those OEM rotors fit on my c7 as well? Considering the B7 is a 57 center bore car compared to ours being 66? Or would I have to go with a set like the girodisc 380’s you used?

    Thanks

Are you using it without any problems? I also transplanted the S7 brake kit to my A7, but I am suffering from noise and shaking symptoms due to thermal deformation when driving at high speeds. This is already the second time since I replaced the rotor.
The discs are 400mm floating discs from Zimmermann and the pads have been changed from Brembo brake pads to TRW brake pads.
