Following up here in case anyone runs into the same issue regarding the vacuum like noise i heard coming from the master cylinder area.
I ended up replacing the ECS stainless clutch line with an USP line. For whatever reason this has fixed the issue. One thing I noticed is the USP line had a different fitting for the master and was marked accordingly.
Also, for anyone attempting this, I went thru the grommet right under the master which was much easier than going under the booster as I did the first time.
