Anxious to hear how the coating helps with dirt, swirls, etc. I’m close to pulling trigger on Mythos but am nervous. Currently have Daytona and love it, but wife said have to change it up. :)

The kids helped me clean the new car (daily driver so already dirty) and then I went out to take some "before" photos. Crappy time of day for photos but I wanted to get some before the new wheels and a few other bits and pieces come in.

Here's a link to a thread where I've posted my experience, so far, with Ceramic Pro:

I highly recommend a ceramic coating!! Ceramic Pro is probably the most expensive one on the market but I've been very impressed!!

Also, here's a link to full photos of my S5 SB a few days after the Ceramic Pro treatment. It has only been a couple of months but it still looks glorious. Absolutely NO HINT of swirl marks forming even though I simply wash it with a mild detailer and micro cloth...and I'm not careful how I do it at all. Wipe and shine!!

    http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...STU-Class-2018

I think this car looks great in Black but I've always avoided it for obvious reasons regarding keeping it shining....with Ceramic Pro I think those concerns almost go away entirely.

Yup! definitely agree with you... Ceramic Pro is the best thing ive done on my previous car which was also black. It made washing the car effortless and definitely cut down the amount of car washes i had to do to keep the car looking clean. I'll be doing the Ceramic Pro treatment for this car next week!

I can definitely see the value in doing ceramic pro on a black car. I got it on my lava grey and I will be honest, it hasn't kept it clean the way that I thought it would. I might have had my expectations too high. I went with the silver package and spent about $1,600. Not sure I would apply it again unless I get a black car.

Honestly I doubt you could tell the difference between 1000+ car pro vs spending $60 on CQUK and doing it your self. I love ceramic coat and doing it your self isn't difficult.

Yeah, it's only worth doing on darker colored cars imo. I believe the price is all in the paint preparation/paint correction considering the product itself cost only $200 per bottle for authorized installers.

I paid $1790 for the "Gold" Package Ceramic Pro which is full paint correction and detailed cleaning of wheels, brakes and all inside stuff then four coats of the 9H ceramic solution and one coat of the "shine" solution on the outside and one coat of the 9H on interior surfaces. I told them not to do the leather because it seals it too well and prevents absorption of any leather conditioner which I see as problematic over time.

I'll have a good test cleaning after about 5 days of rain and road dirt soon. I plan to use a detailer (Griot's speed shine) and micro cloths on heavy road dirt and see how it cleans.

On a dry surface? I would be careful with that. Definitely still soak and rinse the car first. Even with CP, I went about the normal way of washing the car. It was just easier but it doesn't mean you can dry clean the car if it has lots of dirt on it.

That's a fair concern. So far I've washed four times with just the Speed Shine and micro cloths. I used about 28 ounces of the detailer, one micro cloth to "wash" the whole car and one micro cloth for drying. I inspected it very carefully and still see absolutely no evidence of swirls at all. The paint restoration done for the Ceramic Pro was virtually perfect so any swirls that show up are in the coating but so far I've found none.

Three of the first four washes were just dust from about 7 to 14 days worth. Only one wash involved some lite road dirt from one morning of rain. Right now we're getting about 3 to 4 days of rain. So this weekend it will be pretty dirty. I'll see what happens. To your point, though, I'll watch closely for any swirls and may go to a normal wash if needed.

Thanks to quick shipping and great service from Europrice I just installed my euro style backseat headrests. Wow, what a visual difference it makes and of course I can now see out of the rearview mirror. Sorry for the crappy in-garage photos but this is the best I can do tonight.

Original for comparison where the back headrests are higher than the front!

    So much better looking:

Do they still adjust up for your taller riders? Never had a cab so not sure how that works.

Those head rests look a lot better and are definitely more noticeable with your cabriolet. Not sure it is as worth while an upgrade for others.

Yes, they adjust for taller drivers and just slide up and down as expected. They are fully functioning to EU standards. I did this for both the visual appeal and because I was sick of the headrests blocking most of the rear-view mirror. To me that is a bigger safety issue than whatever problem the high headrests are trying to solve.

I’m very happy with the swap.

Springs installed today, but found out my Vossen VFS-1 wheels won't fit on the front end. Working with Vossen to get a replacement set now, but no rush as I'm not putting on the wheels anytime soon (Sticking w/winter mode for now).

As far as the HR Springs, they feel like stock to me and the drop is mild, basically got rid of half the wheel gap that was driving me crazy. Will grab a picture and post later.

Looks great.... Did you add the spacers to clear the brakes or push the tire out. I'm looking to go with a custom forged set and I'm leaning towards 20X10 +30 but I don't want to have to run spacers. The wheel maker will cut the wheel to clear the brakes so I'm trying to get the wheel to sit flush.

Hmmmm, I don't remember discussing this order? Yepper, 10mm front and 12mm rear. You could go +25 it seems if you want more concave. ^freesole runs 20x10 ET30 no spacers on his SB.

Btw, we've got killer deals on the 102 and 104 in 20x10 ET30 if anyone likes this look. As low as $1,550 shipped, down from $2,400. Very nice weight savings too.

    Looks good.

Crazy how one 20x10 ET30 wheel fitment is perfect (V-FF 107) while another with the same spec needs 10+mm spacers to work. That's a huge variance.
