Copied Diokhan with the Alcantara center console & storage box. Also updated the shifter to the one with the aluminum button, aluminum trimmed seat knobs, and center console screw covers like others have.

The console should have had the Alcantara option from Audi, IMO.

After the installation, was there any increase in noise from the end-links? I installed better end-links in a previous car, not an Audi, and there was a noticeable increase in noise over bumps.

Nothing immediately, but I've only driven 20 miles on them or so. I don't anticipate any noise, this will be the second set of 034 endlinks and sways I've run (B9 SQ5 was the first).

Interior bits look great! Those small details do make a nice difference.

I'm having my SB wrapped today in Xpel Ultimate (including the piano black center console) and Xpel nano tint for the windows 20% in rear and hatch and 70% for windshield, sunroof and front doors. Next week I'm having the OEM ambient lights modified so the footwells and speaker have color and also adding the dashboard strip that was a big miss by Audi.

    Wheel/Tire Rotation ...

After finally accumulating 5000 miles on the Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season tires I got earlier this past March, along with new HRE RC104 wheels (Thanks Mops!), it was time to do a F->R, R->F rotation. I'm not fortunate to have a lift or quick jacks (garage ceiling is just over 7' tall), so I used the Mops technique of jacking from the front jack point until both the front and rear tires are off the ground (with jack stands for extra safety). I think he changes wheels at least once a month his method is proven LOL! Here's a pic from Mops showing the procedure:

I have a decent AC floor jack that's rated for 4400lbs, so no problem getting the S5 up in the air as Mops illustrated above ... Safety first!!!

With the car lifted and the wheels/tires off, I applied a liberal coating of P21S wheel cleaner, followed by a thorough power washing. I then inspected the treads for any foreign debris. After picking out all the gravel/stone bits, I did find remnants of a ~1/2" staple and two tiny (2-3m) wire remnants in the treads, but fortunately they were not embedded deep enough to cause any damage/leaks. Followed that with a thorough cleaning of the wheels with Gyeon Prep on the faces and barrels. Next I applied a fresh coat of Gyeon RIM ceramic coating on the wheels. It's recommended to leave that coating cure for 24 hours without driving the car or getting the coating wet. Before remounting, I coated the tires' rubber with Wolfgang's Black Diamond Tire Gel. I also marked the inner sidewalls with a tire marker to ensure I reinstalled them on their new corners.

With the newly cleaned wheels/tires ready to remount on the passenger side, I got out my GoJack wheel dolly wheel dolly to make things easier. GoJacks are typically used to move vehicles around inside crowded garages or storage units. My use for this product is different. I’ve always had an issue with sitting on the garage floor with a wheel/tire in my lap, trying to keep the wheel balanced, in order to not hit or scratch the inside of the barrel on the brake’s backing plate or caliper, while simultaneously attempting to line up the bolt holes while mounting the wheels. I do use a wheel mounting pin which helps once I locate the pin. I wanted to work out a way to roll the wheel into position so that I can get it over the mounting pin without scratching the wheel in the process. With the GoJack, I can carefully maneuver the wheel in front of me, instead of in my lap as I scooch my way over towards the rotor/hub. I can also rotate the wheel on the dolly’s rollers and incrementally raise or lower the wheel/tire assembly so the bolt holes line up very easily. I’ve also placed a protective piece of foam rubber (e.g., part of a rubber kneeling pad) between the GoJack's jacking arm and the face of the wheel to prevent any potential mishaps that could nick or scratch the face of a wheel. Here are a couple of pics to show what the GoJack looks like:

Lastly, here are a couple pics of the end result of the effort ... Don't forget to torque all the wheel bolts, reset the tire pressures and finally update the MMI's vehicle settings for storing the tire pressures!

Installed on jack stands in driveway, ECS trans-tunnel billet brace. Also, their rear sway bar. Didn't fully remove exhaust or the SB braces. Yes, was a PITA not doing that but went OK. Went right to the stiffest setting. Haven't driven it yet to feel any difference.

Next are ECS res-delete down pipes. Might just have my indy do that. Getting too old (65) to roll around under cars anymore!!!

Indy did this yesterday. Said it was PITA! Some bolts from up top, some from below etc. Told me I most likely couldn't do it in my driveway on jack stands. Only a little louder as only put a few miles on it. Hopefully it sounds better in sport mode.

Received goodies from Bruce Miranda. Holy cow, he's even got packaging down to a science. That's the full B&O replacement bundle (not the cat, I just couldn't keep it out of the box).

Added colored ambient lighting to speakers, footwells and dashboard. Iphone had trouble capturing the colors but they are all in synch. Even the Mrs who is nowhere near an enthusiast commented that it looks nice that all the lights are the same color. First successful photo upload but photo size limitations are very very small. Cant figure out how to get larger pics in here.

Got some more carbon fiber skinned parts back from the shop. Bottom trim on my RS6 wheel, and had the rear "console" for the coupe skinned.

Console piece looks great! I've been thinking about doing that with mine and was concerned the rubber pieces wouldn't lay nice afterward. Doesn't seem to be an issue.

There was minimal bowing on the small piece, but I was able to trim some off the underside corners of the rubber to make it sit flush. I literally just shaved slivers off with a razor.

Removed my catless downpipes the other day for inspection. Took about 1 1/2 hours to remove and install the oem cats, all from above. Car is SOOOOOOO quiet now. Can't wait to swap them back. And I have to say there's a big difference in performance at least from the seat of my pants with the gutted cats. With the oem cats it doesn't seem as responsive when hitting the gas, with the gutted cats when you hit the gas you felt the power come on right away.

Put it away for the season. Fresh oil change, Seafoam in the fuel system, parked on Flatstoppers, and removed the battery. The water residue is from rinseless washing with ONR. Always start with a clean surface before putting on a cover to keep the paint scratch-free.

Anyone else storing there's over winter?

Did my first oil change this morning. 8625 miles/8months, Went well. That dipstick tube plug really comes out hard. Used the brand new Schwaben 10.5-liter extractor purchased last week. Slow to start but seems if I pumped more for more vacuum went faster. SOOOOO much better than jacking up, jack stand, cardboard for the inevitable oil splash, etc.! 8 quarts to top of MMI at max.

Same place that skinned my seatbacks, dash caps, and rear center console. I wasn't expecting the symbol to be retained, but they put a decal inlay under the resin.

I think it was like $125 to skin an OEM oil cap, that I provided. I got their info from Lensch09 and Mops. I've been extremely happy with the parts they did for me.

No problem. They definitely can do small things. They also skinned the tiny bit of chrome on my RS6 wheel bottom, which I'm hopefully installing this week.

I've been tweaking with the look of late and think i've settled on what i'm after. I dont love most of the after market kits available for the RS5/RS4. After running the maxton lip kit for a while, then going back OEM, i've now added the ABT carbon side blades with maxton rear roof spoiler wrapped in carbon to match. This ties in with the OEM carbon mirrors, diffuser and front blade.

Also added some 5mm spacers, now running 20x10 +20 effective offset.

I can't speak to the failure rate. However, with my car being Stage 3, spending an extra $200 for an "insurance policy" against the potential valve failure was a no-brainer.

After more than a week of driving around in some of the worst snowy weather in a long time, the S5 clearly needed a bath! The sun was out today and the temperature was in the low 30's (for the first time in weeks) so pulled her out into the driveway and did a quick wash to get off the accumulation of salt/grime. With the temps going down to single digits in the coming week, it was the time to get it done! A quick before and after ...

Also hooked up the charger to keep the battery fully charged up.

Two 100-mile round trips to dealer to have the TSB for "Engine Start Malfunction" issue. First trip to drop off. 2nd to pickup next day.

Lazy SOB's didn't even wash it. Car less than 1 yr old. Guess you MUST spend money on actual service at Drivers Village in Syracuse NY for a wash.

What did you do to your B9 A5/S5 today?

Back from the tint shop and first wipe down with ONR since I’ve had it.
