Hello, I'm loving this thread. I just had a 2014 A5 with the S Line Competition Package shipped to me in Rochester NY from Sacramento CA. The NY DMV is giving me problems registering it, I'm looking at possibly 2 weeks before I'll have plates after taking delivery from the shipper at 4 AM yesterday. I'd love some information about the production figures on my car. Something else to do other than look at it in my garage and apply another coat of wax. The VIN is WAUMFAFR2EA069654, Daytona Gray with S Line Black interior. Thanks!

Morning! There were 306 2014 3.0T S Tronic Quattro S4 Sedans equipped with the Ice Silver Metallic exterior color. 238 of those were also produced with the black leather interior. My breakdown does not include characteristics such as the sports differential and the black optic package sadly so I'm not able to break it down further.

There was exactly 1 2008 6-Speed Manual 4.2 Liter Quattro Avant S4 produced for sale in the United States equipped with both the Daytona Gray Pearl Effect and the Silver Interior. Looks like you've got quite the rare vehicle on your hands!

awesome! I had my suspicions, but it's great to confirm. Any chance you have numbers on Daytona Gray B7 S4s in general?

For the 2008 Model Year that was the only Daytona Grey Pearl Effect S4 (6-Speed Manual & Automatic) produced for sale in the United States. There were other vehicles produced with the Daytona Grey Pearl Effect but not other S4s.

There were 319 2013 Audi 4.2 Liter Quattro Coupe RS 5 Sedans manufactured for sale in the United States with the Daytona Gray Pearl Effect exterior color. 69 of those vehicles also come equipped with the Black Alcantara interior. There were 479 2.0T Quattro A4 Allroads produced for sale in the United States in the 2017 model year with the Manhattan Gray Metallic exterior color. 351 of those also came with the black interior identical to your vehicle. Unfortunately I am not able to determine which of those came with particular options without viewing the VIN of each one. Unfortunately I only have the sales and production information available for vehicles sold in the United States so you will need to speak with Audi Canada for the first vehicle.

For the RS 6, there were 1,435 4.2L Automatic Quattro RS 6 Sedans produced in the United States for the 2003 model year. 431 of these vehicles were produced with the Daytona Gray Pearl Effect, and 250 of those also came with the Ebony interior. Please let me know if you need assistance getting in contact with Audi Canada.

I'm considering getting out of my M235i and back into an Audi S car (had 3 different S4 version - turbo, V8 and S6). Looking for an S3, '16 or '17.

I can't seem to find the answer to this.

I saw the S3 when it first came out and I think I remember the salesman finding a setting that relieved this particular issue. (See post 38 in this link ----->) - http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...-the-MMI-sucks

As I'm sure you know the S3 (and earlier my '12 S4) has no radio preset buttons (a HUGE mistake IMO as after the steering wheel and foot pedals it would seem to me that the next most often used controls in the car would be the radio presets (but what do I know ?)

But there is a toggle switch to "seek" the next station, up or down, in the presets. OK, can't go directly from preset 2 to preset 7, which is annoying but doable so long as you don't have that many presets,,,,,,,,,,,,

So there are 2 "modes" for the radio seek button. "ALL stations (in the current band) mode" or "Presets mode".

The radio, upon a "cold" start of the car, "forgets" the driver left the car with the radio in "preset" mode and preset mode has to be set up again (note: NOT the preset stations themselves - it remembers those). Whenever the car is left for more than 15(?) minutes, when next started the radio "mode" is "ALL Stations".

As mentioned above I think I remember a setting in the MMI(?) that forces the presets to ALWAYS be activated upon re-start.

True ? If so, where would it be hiding and what years MMI would have the new/corrected version ?

There were 575 2.0T 6-Speed Manual Quattro A4 Avants produced for sale in the United States for the 2006 model year. 118 of those came with the Brilliant Black exterior and 98 of those also came equipped with the Ebony interior.
