I sent a PM to Jokerz but I know he's not on here a lot and is more of a FB base (which I don't have). So I'll ask the others who have done work with him and you can answer for him - when he logs in, he can confirm/deny/edit.

If I do a core with him for a Chaos port - can someone help me with what happens:

    • I have a snout pulley on mine - will I get a blower back with a pulley on it or an OEM?
    • Do I get the SC Intercoolers from whichever SC is used to build mine? Does he inspect IC's in his cores and what happens is an IC is bad? I don't want to inherit someone elses problem but I also *HAVE* to do a core since I can't be without a car for weeks
    • Do I get new oil?
    • What else am I not thinking about?

Thanks for giving me the "duh, this is how it works dummy" version.

From what I know about Jokerz he is the best in the business and cuts no corners. You will get your pulley back you just have to tell him. He will inspect everything and you may have to tell him to do an oil swap if that's what you want. I would call him.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about his quality of work.

Just trying to get a sense of what happens during a core swap

1.) If you want to retain your current pulley, you'll need to swap your snout drive unit to the ported blower.
2.) The ported blower does not come with any intercooler core as that would need to be swapped over as well along with the MAP sensors, throttle body, bypass valve, etc.
3.) You'll receive a bottle of new oil.
4.) Since you're paying for the ported blower service and not a rebuild, you only received the blower with the rotors installed.

Parts I ordered for the swap:

    6 x 079129717D - Upper Intake to Supercharger Gasket
    2 x 06E145723A - Compressor Intercooler Gasket
    2 x 06E145723E - Compressor Intercooler O-rings
    1 x 06E198012B - Bypass Valve Gasket Set of 2
    2 x 06E145272C - Throttle Body Seal
    2 x 036906149D - MAP Sensor O-ring
    1 x 06E103213 - PCV Vent Tube

When attaching the drive snout to the ported blower you need to use Anaerobic Flange Sealant. Joker said the sealant is Eaton Transmission Sealant. I wasn't able to find the part number but I believe you can use Loctite 574 as an OEM replacement.

^^ How many went throught this process and swapping the blower ?

Also, does anyone replace the PCV valve and/or water pump while they are there ?

So it’s not a simple swap... Ud have to replace all of these parts above prior to reinstalling?
How much did that cost you?

I'm interested, but I'm still trying to get a good idea of how exactly the core swap works and what a rebuild entails. What sort of reassurance do we have that the blower we receive does not need a rebuild of some sort?

I'm very interested and do you have a pulley removal tool you could send with the ported blower I order or does anyone on here have one for rent, sale, or borrow? I'm in 74401 if that helps. Don't really want to spend $150 for the tool tbh.

    Jokers Performance Blower Porting

I'm very interested as well but would need more step by step process info from beginning to end.
Also what parts needs to be purchased when installing the new blower.

I know nothing when it comes to mechanic, I just need the more info as possible soI could relay that to my mechani, prepare cost for extra parts and prepare time frame for the whole process

    Thanks

I'm very interested as well but would need more step by step process info from beginning to end.
Also what parts needs to be purchased when installing the new blower.

I know nothing when it comes to mechanic, I just need the more info as possible soI could relay that to my mechani, prepare cost for extra parts and prepare time frame for the whole process

    Thanks

Parts for reinstalling was listed towards the beginning of the page. I’m on mobile so it would take me a little while to scan through it all, but it’s here!

Bumping someone else's part list - hope it's complete. Does anyone know the part number for the B8.5 supercharger intercoolers? Wondering if it's worthwhile to update at the same time.

jokerz, do you also port throttle bodies?
