Thanks, I did some digging online and figured out that the previous owner in fact had, for some reason, turned that off (liftgate opening from outside). I turned it back on and now it opens with the button flawlessly. Yay! We do have the little buttons on all the door handles. We don't have a start/stop button though. Our key fob goes into a slot in the dash and we push on it to start the car. Very odd. Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it.
