If not, I apologize for hijacking this really great thread and, please, just disregard this post and, if I am violating any forum policies, I apologise and let me know and I will delete this post.

I have been reading a dozen threads about lighting upgrade and I am more confused than when I started researching. You seemed to know quite a lot and also to be a modder of some skill so I hope that you will not be too upset if I ask for advice in your thread.

1. Can you explain, in general, what are the different lighting systems, which are the best and why?

2. Can you help me decide what is the best upgrade for my S6 2000 (WAUZZZ4BZYN106092) body type 1BD? Has auto-levelling (one side not working). Not sure if halogen. Driver side headlight glass cracked.

a) I am confused by halogen, xenon, HID, bi-xenon, led and by the many reflector and glass types.
b) I like daylight (angel eyes modification) whether rings around the bulbs or a complete set (maybe preferable).
c) I am confused by what is a ballast, reflector focus, and why one needs all these mods.


Objective, in this order:
a) best light output
b) least cost
c) least modifications (but I can ask a shop to install, if necessary).

I understand that (a), (b) and (c) are conflicting but, if you have any desire, time and interest, please advise me on the best compromise. Again, I apologise if I am out of line, in which case, just delete or disregard my post.
