    or another option is to add the tables for boost control to the c5 a6 4.2 ecu if its possible to add the input for the map as well.

    I thought of this with a C5 S6 ECU, which can be coded for manual. The issue would be the N/A V8 ECU's have either a dual or three-stage intake. The RS6 has a single-stage intake. You'll need to add not just the MAP sensor, but also the drivers for the dual EGT's, and hope the EEPROM will be compatible, and there's continuity between the tracks, directly or via resistors / diodes.

    The RS6 ECU also controls two independent MAF's.

    Complicated.
