Taking mine in next week. Is there a TSB number or someplace to get a copy? Just want to try to be prepared.

I just got mine back from the dealer for this issue. Took four days - they had to get the part from NJ and it took all weekend... Anyways, I was happy they didn't give me a hard time about the aftermarket coilover springs (MSS) and wheels (Sportec). I think having so many documented cases and a real-deal TSB helped out dramatically... it was all covered under warranty. Go Audi!

I had trouble at the dealer where I bought this damn car, they saw the downpipe and exhaust and kept saying I will get TD1d if they proceed. Took it to another dealer in the area, A++ no questions asked

Has anyone tuned fixed this on their own? What is the latest Rear diff if I need to buy used? what other parts would I need to replace while doing this?

I would just start with replacing the pump, as that is usually the failed part 90% of the time. It's a 20 minute job to dump the fluid, change the pump, and refill the fluid. 25 minutes if you take a beer break.

How do you know if it’s the pump or diff?

What’s the odds of just the pump?

Hard to know, but looking at the dealer fixes, it seems most just change the pump (which is what the TSB says to do). If doing it yourself, I would just change the pump first, since you'll do that anyway even if you end up needing a diff. Then worry about the diff if the pump doesn't fix it.

Great thread - thanks for everyone's contributions.

It's been rather unclear so I figured I'd ask:

For those getting the problem fixed under warranty - are you pulling all mods off?

I see some stage 2 folks on here, and I'm curious if you're pulling all the Stage2 required parts off to get the Haldex fixed.

Second question- would an upgraded haldex controller help or hurt the situation? Was looking at the Race Haldex controller but after this thread.....

    Thanks!

I am not pulling anything off, a friend works at an Audi dealer and he told me don't even bother. I am full stage 2 every Bolton with Meth, suspension, wheels, lip kit, interior mods etc.....

Thus far I replaced the Haldex pump -This was cheap and purchased a new controller $400. The pump seemed to help, the controller and fluid change goes on this weekend. I will update but I did have some very very fine brass particles in my haldex fluid. When it is wet out and I push the car very hard I only get FWD it seems as traction control comes on rapidly and often. It barely happens on dry pavement or during launches, but I know in the wet is down right dangerous.

I contacted a friend and he said he could rebuild the rear diff so that might be next!!

Well latest controller did nothing well not nothing but it dosent seem like the car should run like this. I am not getting any or very little on straight launch, but if I take off out of a turn hard thentraction control comes on.

Hard launch with traction off no wheel spin

Just came back from the dealer. Front wheel slippage is normal due to aftermarket tires....

Where is the logic in that statement. Even in "dealership land", if the front wheels were slipping because of my aftermarket tires, shouldn't the rear wheels start spinning to mitigate that??????

I had aftermarket (winter) tires on when I took it to my dealership and they didn't say anything. This is typical lazy dealership BS. Insist they scan for codes - there should be codes stored if you are having the issue. Once the codes are confirmed they will have something to work off.

Also - this type of BS response warrants a call to Audi Customer Care 800-822-2834. Tell them your situation and let them know you want compensation for your wasted trip to the dealership and the laziness of the service writer/dept.

What do you consider a little burnout? Getting any wheel hop? Temps?

Does the second video below spin too much? first one looks more like I would expect with good tires and road conditions.

a little slippage is actualy good, but yeah, that seemed like a lot. Certainly more than mine does.

Curious do you have an OEM setup or is yours modded and running a higher torque TCU?

Just trying to understand if this happens with an OEM ECU and TCU setup. Also, is it more likely to happen if you are doing a lot of launches.

Haldex failure: 2015 A3 Quattro 2L w 32K miles, poor snow traction. No warning lights, and no codes found on an aftermarket OBD scan. Dealer scan found Fault C111204 as per TSB 2043144/5 . Replaced pump. Works fine. Your AWD may not be working and no warning lights will tell you that, at least that's what happened in my case.

Little Update had the car for two weeks at an Audi shop.

Apparently there are four (4) adaptation that need to be run once a controller or rear is replaced none of which can be done on VCDS. The shop had to borrow the ODI computer from Audi to reset the (SVN code) & adaptations and make the newest controller work with the system.

Supposedly all this fixed the problem and I now have AWD again. We will see tonight when I try to launch the car LOL!

Good luck! I hope it works. I'm still battling the dealership with mine. Got the code to appear. They said, well it only appeared once. So we're just gonna clear it and do an adaptation, that should fix it. 😂

I am still getting FWD burnout on LC for a few seconds but then I can feel the rear kick in. I am not sure if it is because stage-2 or what.

If your tune isn't limiting boost in 1st gear to 18-19 psi, I would say what you are getting is perfectly normal on a stage 2 tune.
