How tight is too tight for our supercharger belt? Do our tensioners have a range line? I didnt see one but not using service position and can’t see the front of it.

I was running a Gates RPM 1310 with a 187 crank and stock upper but after switching SC pulley to 57 I decided to try a 1300. It was super tight to get it on with the tensioner all the way over. Had to really grip it with pliers and struggled to get it on. After a few days of driving I checked and there does appear to be a little flex in the belt, about a quarter to half turn/rotate so it seems ok?

Obviously loose would be an issue but what about too tight?
