    Flickering Xenon lights

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Had my A4 for 6 months and I've had flickering Xenon lights off and on and it's now worse than it's ever been. There are times that the lights will turn off all together and I have to turn them off and back on several times til it works. If I accelerate or brake or hit any bumps, it always flickers out. Can somebody please give me an answer to this before I drop this off at the dealership. Is it wiring? Bad bulb? Not enough voltage? What is it?

    Are these after-market headlights?
Did you have halogens and converted?
Did you do any coding to the car?

I ask this because I had a similar issue as well. The back story here is I converted my lights and coded it correctly. Was running perfectly fine. One day my AC stopped working in the summertime and this "European Specialist" took care of my car and stated that my headlights was the issue, replaced the ECU, and a bunch of other shit. He cut my headlight wires, because the headlights wasn't working, and was able to jump a couple wires to make my LEDs work. This is where I had a similar issue like yours. Before being scared about what I told you. Please answer the questions lol.

I bought some cheapo D2S bulbs on Amazon for $12 thinking it was worth a try. I've had them in my B5.5 for around 2 years now and they will do this to me. I have always been able to turn the lights off and back on to have the ballast refire them if they don't turn back on themselves. My name brand bulbs that I pulled out before those did not do this so it is most likely a bulb issue.

I bought these bulbs for my car, Kensun HID Bulbs D3S 8k , and so far it's been 4 months and no issues whatsoever. I like them also because they do have warranty but I never bothered to check how long it is. I previously had iJDMtoy bulbs and they crapped out day 1 lol.
Also, I installed Kensun HID bulbs on my girlfriends car and she loves them as well.
