    Dynamic rpm at idle

Although I have a 2016 s5 I'm assuming the S4 should operate in the same manner. The car is tuned with ie stage 2 dp tb and dsg tcu tune and just noticed that my dynamic mode and sports mode rpm at idle doesn't increase anymore as it used to idle at 1100 rpm but now idle stays the same as comfort mode rpm around 750 rpm at idle. Does anyone have any idea on what might have caused this or any way to fix it? I've enquired about this on a few forums and FB groups and have gotten the response that idle speed adjustment doesn't change when in dynamic mode or when you pull back the shifter to engage sport Mode. The car used to change idle rpm before and on my previous cars B8.5 A4 and B8.5 RS3 used to change rpm at idle and multiple forums mentioned normal operation is the it should increase so I'm a lil confused.

Curious on if changing adaptations in 09 central electronics channel 66 to 47 and channel 70 to 46 would have any impact on this when the ecu is tuned? Thanks again for any input.

Your idle should not change in either modes, standard idle runs around 750rpm. If yours is changing to 1100 only when you change modes then I’d assume it’s an issue with the transmission and clutches/solenoids

It’s not an s4 but my B9 A4 raises to 1000 rpm in sport mode. IE may have just tuned it out since it pretty much serves no purpose. It may give you a little less delay off idle but I can’t imagine it actually makes a difference in launch cause you have the rpm’s up before launch anyway.

Yeah no real purpose in raising idle rmp unless you got some crazy cam upgrades or something, or want to get rid of some lower frequency vibrations/rattles
