This is a 2011 s5 4.2l coupe 50k miles
Ok so I will start from the beginning. About 3 weeks ago my fuel injector failed and flooded one cylynder with fuel and the car died. Finally fixed that with a new injector, and did carbon cleaning at the same time. Put everything back together and tried to start the car, took just a little hesitation but the car started and there was smoke, but i am sure that was the left over oil that was left. Had the car run for about 5 minutes, and shut it off. Started it again, this time started right away, less smoke and was idling good. Even started it a third time. Check engine light was flashing the whole time, but it was also flashing when the car died on me 3 weeks ago. So now the car was running pretty good, so i decided to try to clear the codes. Cleared the codes, car was not running when clearing, and then when i tried to start the car, nothing at all. the dash lights are on, radio works, lights work, but nothing happens at all. Theres no click that you would expect if a dead starter. I had my battery load tested and its fine, checked the connections they are good, The fuse seems to be good thats by the battery. Checked the connection to the starter/cleaned. I brought in a better scanning computer and got these 2 codes.
05634 passive/sporadic
power supply terminal 30, voltage too low
12424 active/static
Starter relay, electrical malfunction in circuit
So I changed the starter relay thats by the windshield. still nothing.
I did check all the fuses.
tried starting the car in neutral .
One thing is that there is a click/whine coming from the throttle body, but i think thats normal its just opening and getting ready for the car to start.
I just dont know what could have went wrong, i don't think its the starter, i never had any issues with starting the car, and how could the starter just blow like that when i had started the car with no issues about a minute prior.
Any help is appreciated guys. I want to get this thing back on the road :(
