    Hey guys I got a A4 b5 1.8t, new spark plugs new ignition coils and new battery but the car just cranks does not turn on though I really don't know what the problem is. Can anyone help me? Give me some ideas to what it could be.

    Three basic things needed for start: Fuel, Air and Spark. Start with checking for a spark during ignition since that is easy, then move to your fuel system (listen for pump sound, test injectors). Try pulling codes since troubleshooting without a code reader is akin to chasing rabbits.

    Is the timing belt good? If it's broken it won't start. Check fuses as well.
