Hello looking for some guidance. I have a 2006 Audi Cabrio and I have the strange noise while moving. I thought perhaps it was a CV joints because there were both had broken boots. I replaced them although they were bad I've seen worse. Thinking that was the reason it was making noise after I finished the job I took it for a ride and although the vibration is gone I still have this noise coming from I'm assuming is the transmission. It doesn't change with the gears so I make the assumption it's part of the spider gears or something similar that's making the noise. Best way I could describe it it's like a purring noise not in a good way. I have a recording but I'm trying to figure out how I could possibly post it here. Any ideas?
