    My new drag wheels

    CLK 320 Wheels 16x7 ET37 ~14lbs each.

Had to do a bit a of modifying to the lug holes but nothing crazy.

Test fit on my boys S4, didn't clear his brakes. I'm running 332mm Stoptech front BBK so I'll need spacers (thinking 8-10mm), also ordered wheel studs from Mike at Ringer-Racing.com

These Hoosiers caught my eye so these will get ordered this week, 225/50/16.

My car will up, running and tuned for spring.... Stay tuned.

Will 16" wheels accommodate for the 332mm rotors?

Yes, the S4 rotors are 320mm stock and there was room to play. Here's the best pic I have.

What about the caliper clearing the barrel?

I think it's going to be a tight fit (if they fit).

I just went to check my brake + wheel setup and there is less than an inch between the caliper and the wheel barrel. Assuming my 17" wheels would have a barrel size of 17" and your 16" wheels have a 16" barrel, I don't think they'll fit.

I have 993tt calipers on 330mm rotor fwiw.

I know the brake calipers aren't the same.

The wheels will clear the brakes?

That's surprising. I guess I'll be looking at getting a set of these for winters.

Yea, I have the driver side BBK on but not the passenger side. I tried to put the wheel on the car put my stupid rotor kept falling down so I put the wheel face down and mocked up the brake setup inside the wheel. There's a lip where the caliper hits but I think with a 10mm spacer it will clear fine.

I will have the wheel mocked up on the car this weekend with spacers that I'll borrow from a friend to determine how big I'll need. I don't want to run anything over 10mm as I simply don't trust spacers but idk we will see. 10mm should do it no problem though.

I don't think they will fit your wheels. I am pretty sure that you have the 6 piston touareg calipers. They have different profile than his calipers.

Ahh, wish I had picked that BBK up. Glad at least someone from AZ picked them up when they were on ebay. Was broke or else they would have been mine. haha

And I am amazed my car is up and running before yours is. Waiting to see your car up, running, and into the 10s. You stripping your car too?

Lol I wouldn't have known about them if you didn't post them on here haha... Thanks again.

For awhile I didn't touch the car, motivation was lost for awhile. I have all the main parts as far as power train wise. Just need fueling, fluid dampr, send my axles to raxles and get some bride seats. Yes car will be completely gutted from the b pillar back, front will be stock except for racing seats and complete A/C removal.

Once the weather warms up a bit I'll really get cracking. Hopefully the SPA holds up for the summer then I'll switch to a full race setup and 6766 if the 6262 isn't enough for my liking.

    I can't use them :(

Either ditch the stoptechs or ditch the wheels. I'm going to need to use huge fucking spacers which is out of the question. So the wheels will be up for sale, I'm pissed because they are mint as hell.

I should use stock brakes and run the wheels since I'm going for drag, but whatever I like BBK's and I'll sacrifice. I'll see how bad I'll be spinning so I'll just run my 18's for now.

Just do the A8 rotor setup, that is plenty braking for a drag A4.

I have the A8 setup on my car. The slots on my rotors indicate they should be replaced (just one side shows the slots will be gone in a couple thousand miles. other side is fine), but just going to wait till my pads are done too. My front calipers also have the Tyrol Sport sliding pins. Can throw that into the mix if you want to swap out and me throwing money on top. I will be driving my vehicle and can actually utilize those brakes.

That is also an option if you haven't ordered the 16" Hoosiers yet. Seems a good amount of VW FSI/TSI owners run the 17" Hooisers and really like them. I have the R&D set of 17's on my car still and love them.
