B7 S4 RNS-E denying the recoding for AUX

My S4 is currently at a pretty well known euro shop ATM to get the head unit recoded with VAG-COM.

They are saying they can't recode it because everytime they plug the number in it's just denied. They said they called Ross tech, Audi, and others to see why it would be doing this. They didn't get a deffenate answer.

What would be the reasoning behind this head unit not being able to be recoded?

Is there any steps you can tell me that I can tell the shop to try?

Edit: shop said they where trying to change 2nd to last number to a #7...thought it was supposed to be changed to a 5 if I'm not mistaken...could that be why?

Edit 2: just talked to the shop, they tried a few different numbers, ranging from 4-7 and none of them worked or allowed AUX..

Alright!! That's the problem right there. Buy yourself the update CD for the 0260 Version and your set.

Update the RSN-E then perform the coding again and it should work.

maybe try updating the software first to the latest and current version then try to recode it again to see if that helps

Yup, you need atleast sw260 or sw280 in order for the coding to be accepted. I ran into this doing mine. I updated and it accepted right away
