What kind of gas are you running in the car? Could also be bad MAF or O2 sensor.

I am using E85 mix with 93 octane. On a 16 gallon tank, I used 5.89 of E85 and the rest of 93. No AC was on, just the radio

You could have put in too much E85 and leaned it out. Go drive around and top off with some more 93. It'll clear up.

What does your fuel trim look like?

    Was this on startup?

My guess is the Ethanol or not giving enough time for the LTFT to adapt.

Did you have an Ethanol in the tank before? How long after fill up was this? Any idea the overall E% in the tank?

What does your fuel trim look like? I have to check

Was this on startup? Yes. I was in the process of changing some VCDS settings and then I clicked on Scan for codes and the check engine light came on

My guess is the Ethanol and not giving enough time for the LTFT to adapt. Too much E85?

Did you have an Ethanol in the tank before? Yes. I had the same mix. I am on a half a tank now.How long after fill up was this? 4 days Any idea the overall E% in the tank? Nop

If you're playing with mixes without a dedicated file you will get those lean codes.

No idea how to check it. I know GIAC said its ok to mix, but I dont know if I have the correct MIX though. I might just switch to 104 octane

You literally made E38 exactly. So if there was a little extra e in Either the gas or the e85 it would have put you over the edge.

I'm in class but I will post some details after I get home tonight or tomorrow.

I've gotten a few PMs about this so I will try to put a thread together. If anyone is free and can beat me to it I'd appreciate it.

Long day yesterday and my laptop was just about dead when I made it home.

Here are some fields you can log in VCDS:
Long term adaption of mixture formation bank 1
Long term adaption of mixture formation bank 2
Short term adaption of mixture formation bank 1
Short term adaption of mixture formation bank 2
    Lambda probes actual: bank1
    Lambda probes actual: bank2
    Lambda probes specified: bank1
    Lambda probes specified: bank2

There are a few others but those will give you a good idea of what is going on.

There is some more info in Jrans thread: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...rmance-Logging

Another good way to check how the car is running is to look at your plugs.
