Please help! Punctured line under driverside

    Hey all!

New time Audi owner here with a 2004 A4 Quattro 1.8T. The other night I accidentally ran over an object in the street and heard a very loud bang. Car drove fine and coming into work this morning, the CEL came on and I heard a HUGE hissing noise coming from the undercarriage beneath the drivers side. Turns out the bang was most likely the puncture you can see in the pictures. There isn't any fuel leaking, fluid, or otherwise - just a strong vacuum from what I can tell.

I'm not sure what this is and haven't had a chance to get the CEL checked out since I'm at work all day. Any chance someone could shed some light on this?

Someone suggested it was the EVAP fuel vapor line, but when I called the dealership, they said they didn't have parts for anything even remotely listed like this. Thoughts? Thanks everyone!

Looks like the line from the hard pipe under the coolant reservoir to the leak detection pump. With a quick check I can't find a part #. I'll look and post back if I find one.

Thanks - I'm not sure what you mean by the hard pipe though. But anything you turn up would be a huge help. Any experience with swapping this out?

That would be the vacuum line connecting from the “T” underneath the intake manifold back to the Leak Detection Pump located underneath the driver’s side rear wheel well. All you need to do is to cut out the damaged section and replace it with a section of vacuum tubing. Get the tubing large enough that the plastic line can fit snugly into the vacuum hose. Clamp with some small gas line hose clamps and you are good to go.

Probably your best bet versus replacing the line.

Yeah I thought about that and wasn't sure what kind of pressure I was looking at here. I'll give it a shot. You guys rock - I appreciate it! I'll keep you posted.

I might've had something similar. A torn EVAP line in the fender, that ran across a big portion of it. It was a section, that had clips at each end.
To keep it OEM, I thought finding a used stock replacement since if it works, it works; it's not really a wear item, but stuff like this CAN get damaged as you can see.

    either that or repair tubing.
