    Auto leveling headlights pointing down

I got a 09 avant premium plus and the headlights after turning the car on go up only a little bit unlike before where it went up a lot more, now I'm stuck driving with my highbeams on at night because the low beam points too low and the lights won't self adjust to normal position, anyone knows the problem?

Any warning lights on the dash? Recently lowered? Maybe the leveling arm broke or got out of whack which can be found on the rear drivers side lower control arm - worth investigating. Just spit balling.

your level sensor arm is likely broken, or orientated the wrong way confusing the car, or you need to recalibrate using vagcom

My car had the same issue and my headlights were pointed low so I jacked up drivers rear and saw that the arm was snapped off. its a hollow metal tube with plastic piece inserted inside it to secure at both ends then crimped. I screwed a drywall screw into the plastic side and one into the metal side (with the broken plastic piece inside it) to allow epoxy something to grab onto and secured it back that way. The sensor is secured to the control arm with one screw and one electrical connector. Once dry just reinstall and make sure the arm is oriented properly, you'll see how it works where the arm opening > opens wider when the suspension drops lower

If your gonna epoxy it, epoxy putty is probably best for the job. Just make sure you take note of the way the everything is oriented so you don't glue it on crooked/twisted to face the wrong way. I did that and it was facing the wrong way so luckily it was still soft enough to twist to face the right way.

I also recommend rinsing the ball joint of the sensor with water and lubing it as mine was seized in place and that's why it broke the arm off. I had to work it around to free it up.

when i went lower, i had a similar issue. i had to take an allen wrench and re-level my headlights, there is a white plastic piece under your hood that you can turn to re-level your headlights......i can take a picture of it later today.

Here is a pic to help you,

Drive your car up to a flat door like a garage door, and turn on your headlights and then start turning the white plastic manually and you will see what I mean.

How do I know which kit to order. I have a 09 Premium plus. When I turn the car on the projectors go up and down not left or right.
