Is stock suspension the most comfortable?

I need to replace dampers, they're all blown at 135k miles. I want the smoothest ride possible, not track focused at all, is stock the softest, or can you dial in some comfort level that's better on any other dampers? This is a daily driver on bad roads.

    Thanks in advance.

I heard that kw street comfort coilovers are more comfortable / smooth than stock. Or, you can always go after a4 suspension.

What would be involved with putting the B8 A4 suspension on a B8 S4? Would only the springs and shocks need to be swapped, no sway bars or motor mounts to essentially get the A4 ride quality? Or is there more to it than that...

Stock would be the way I'd go.

Just a4 dampers and springs. I'm not sure if you want to transform your s4 into an a4...

I found Konis shocks on softest setting with stock springs rode better than my stock suspension, and also improved car control as well.

DING! And if you want the ride to be even more compliant, inflate the tires to 32 psi. Or buy a Buick.
