I have a 2000 1.8t A4 avant and the engine has seen better days. But I found a lead on a brand new zero miles aeb engine. I've done tons of research and found lots of stuff with the head and block and found that lots of people do the aeb head on atw block. But is it possible to use the aeb block and the atw head? Or use the entire aeb engine and swap parts over ? I just need information on if I can use the entire engine and how.

The codes AEB and ATW are the cylinder head codings. Both AEB and ATW were bolted to 058 blocks, they are the same.

This is exactly what an ATW engine is. 058 bottom end (AEB short block) with ATW small port DBW cylinder head.
I hate it when my car acts like a little bitch, treating me like a bitch
