Angry Audi A7 - Shark fin

    Hi Guys

I just backed my A7 out of garage and knocked the fin off, its not broke but the 6 screw holes are but every thing works fine.

Is it possible to glue the fin back on and get a tight enough fit so that no moisture will get in?

If not, I'll have to buy a whole new fin and remove headliner to replace....any ideas?

    Thanks for your input...

You can get a replacement fin from eBay quite easily. The fin is used across a lot of models, although you may have to paint to match the original.

I don't believe you need to remove the whole headliner, only enough at the back you can reach the underside of the fin. You may even be able to get to it once you remove the rear interior light.

I wouldn't recommend glue, as it's not likely to last very long. Also the fin does occasionally go wrong and needs to be replaced!

I would stick it down with clear RTV until you decide how you're going to repair it.

    Thanks, I will try that.

PS: Does somebody here maybe know the difference between the "4G0035503" and "A" - "K" - "P" - "D" - "N" or "E" version? - Little bit unsure which version to buy from Ebay.
