Multiple short to grounds when running actuator test
Just picked up a 2001 A4 1.8t qauttro and was checking its engine light which was for the secondary air pump that the previous owner said come and goes. So I decided to run an actuator test and I am getting multiple things saying short to ground while running the test.

    Evap purge
    Secondary air injection solenoid valve
    Secondary air pump relay
    Boost pressure regulation valve
    Camshaft adjustment
    Evap leak detection pump
    Control valve boost pressure
    Circuit for brake vacuum pump
    Injector cyl 1
    Injector cyl 2
    Injector cyl 3
    Injector cyl 4

There is no actual hard codes for these only when running the actuator test. I also heard everything running and cycling during the test. Car runs decent but is not 100% perfect. So what could be the cause of these short to grounds coming up during the test?

Things to ad, found a broken vacuum like going to the combination valve and said light hasn't come back on and found the ground by the coil packs was loose but still is saying short to ground when running the test.

Does each device click properly when you run the test? It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure "short to ground" is quite normal to see on the screen during the test. This is because that is legitimately what is happening. The ECU - which normally provides varying level of pulse on those outputs - does something special during the test. Instead of providing a PWM ground pulse on the control wire, it just shorts the control wire directly to ground all at once, holds for a moment, then releases it all at once. This is what provides the nice click-CLACK-click-CLACK from each device.

The message is merely telling you what to expect on the wire during the test.
