    '06 A4 Cabriolet CCM Replacement

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hello,
I recently purchased this Audi, and about 2 weeks in the Comfort Control Module has gone bad due to water damage. The dealership told me the CCM replacement + soft-top repair would be ~$6500, much more than the car is worth. So, I'd like to attempt this repair by myself.

I took the CCM out of my car to get the part number. Unfortunately, I've been unable to find a matching part number anywhere online. According to some stores, there is a replacement part where the last letter is an L instead of a J. This part is very expensive.

My current part number is 8H0 959 433 J. I've been told that 8H0-959-433-L is the replacement part from Audi.

Could anybody please tell me if this is accurate? Also, is it possible that there are other part numbers that would work just as well? I am hoping that there is an alternate part number that I can find for much cheaper.

    My VIN is WAUAC48H56K010210.

    Thanks so much.

    Cheers.

The dealer is correct that L is the current part in production but you should be able to locate the J version through parting or eBay. G and E are earlier versions and might not work 100% with your vehicle.

Thanks so much. Do you have any wisdom on efficient "parting?" Google and eBay turn up nothing when I search for "8H0959433J". I'm trying to use www.car-part.com, but there doesn't seem to be a way to search for this part.

Parting would be in reference to the classified section on this forum or the B7 forum. You will often find things there before Ebay: click me.
