Stage 1(ish) boost not meeting requested ideas?

I couldn't find any glaring leaks with my air compressor rig but that graph seems pretty obvious there's an issue. I was thinking about replacing the DV considering it's probably original but if someone has an opinion I'd be happy to hear it.

    Thanks gents!

I had a small leak at the Suction jet pump that would only open around 15psi. What did you pressurize too?

What are your thoughts on it being the DV not holding? Are they known for this type of behavior when they get old?

I pressurized around 18 or so according to my regulator. I too found a tiny leak around the suction jet pump that a hose clamp took care of. For good measure I'm replacing the whole breather assembly with the pump, valves, and hoses although I don't think that's my culprit. I'm fairly new to chasing boost leaks on the 1.8t.

If its not a 710N, which is the latest and greatest OEM DV, then yes it will leak with anything higher than stock boost.

If it's the original K03 you could have a weak wastegate. Clamp the hose going to the WG from the N75 and CAREFULLY get into boost. It can spike pretty aggressively.

This is a quick and easy test if you're not finding any leaks. At 150k miles, my K03 was only able to get to 17-18 psi when clamped.

^ What Agentsmith says. I had to put an external spring on to hold boost north of 15psi. Worth giving your actuator a wiggle for play at least.
